If you have a damaged left or right side saddle bag lid lying around - I would like to take them off your hands. I don't need the entire bag, just the lid, but the lid must not be cracked around the perimeter.

The plan is to make some flat lids like the ones on the City Side Cases sold in Europe by modifying a set of standard lids. It will save a lot of time if I start with a useable outer perimeter of a standard bag lid and cut out the center bulged area.

Thanks in advance.

Sounds perfect, Twowheelnut. Unfortunately for me shipping will be across the country to FL zip 32837, but just the lid shouldn't be too much via ground. I will try to contact you offline. Thanks.

I have a lefty saddlebag lid that is rashed severely... but not all the way through. I suppose that in reality, it could probably be fixed. I'm quite sure that there are no cracks.

I really don't want to remove it from the rest of the bag, find a box, pack it & walk to the post office. Sorry if that sounds lazy, but it is what it is. I've already given away quite a few items & went thru the shipping rigamoro & don't feel like doing it again. If you have someone in this area that'll box it up and send it to you, you are welcome to have it. I'd be willing to remove it from the main bag & meet up w/ this person.

Heidi,

I totally understand about the hassle - I sold a bunch of big stuff and the shipping can be a PITA. Unfortunately, I don't know anyone up in your area so that option is out.

However, I just paid the other guy $25 for shipping and his trouble and I can offer the same to you since you have the opposite side.

The choice is yours - no worries, I will find another if you want to pass.

Just as a side note, the USPS Click-n-Ship program is wonderful for sending Priority mail. Free boxes and free carrier pickup. It made it so much easier to ship things. The big packages can get pricy, however, via priority.
