Looking to buy the new Iron Butt video. It is $50 on the website and I just can't justify that amount of money for an hour or so long video.

Anybody bought it, watched it and ready to part with it?

How about $25 shipped?

I suspect most who buy it will be keeping it for their library. Since it's a small, independant production with very limited distribution and no sponsorship from ads and such within the disk, $50 seems pretty reasonable.

I paid $50.oo + shipping for mine and after viewing it a few times ....I guess I'd part with it.

$250.oo delivered to you

I'll use the proceeds to buy five of the movies ....to have one near every TV plus a couple of back-ups.

PM me for where to send the cash.

If you are into LD riding, rallies, and the IBA this video is worth every penny.

Dean and crew did an excellent job and the history lesson with Mike Kneebone is very worthwhile.

dougc

not partin' with mine

And if you ever happen to make it to an IBA event (regional meet/greet or the National Meet) and see how much effort Dean and crew put into the multimedia part of things you'll really appreciate all the hard work and professionalism that goes into a production like this. :thumbsupsmileyanim:

This ain't Disney, MGM Studios, Miramax, Sony, Touchstone, or any other behemoth-studio effort with deep pockets. It's Dean Tanjii, one of our fellow FJR riders. Help out the little guy for once.

LDRydr (who's VERY glad he got his early, and wouldn't part with it, not even for $250)

Good comments. while i'm sure everyone that runs the rally has a different figure, it has been stated widely and often 11days, 11thousand dollars. It aint cheap to run the IBR. Hell, I can tell you it aint cheap to run even the simple rallies.

The movie gives you the opportunity to run the rally vicariously, it gives you the chance to chase passion and dreams ....and you get to do all this for minimal cost IMO. Hell, what was the average rider paying for gas each day during the 07 IBR? I'm sure a minimum of a hundred bucks. Think of the movie as half a day's worth of gas on just 1 of the 11 days.

Good point. It'd be interesting to compare the total costs to the participants after it was all said and done.
Now it costs $200 more than it used to cost, cuz you end up buying yourself a DVD plus three to give away.

I must agree , $50.00 is a lot. I paid $20.00 I think for why they ride ? ( A great DVD BTW) and it really amounts to a roll of the dice, sell more at $25.00 or fewer at $50.00. They also should sell it as a downloadable too, I can burn my own DVD

Ya'll are missing the point.

Ride up to RenoJohns, buy him all the steak, liquor, and cigars he can eat/drink/smoke over the weekend, and he'll let you watch his movie...

Then again.. 50 bucks *is* sounding kinda cheap by comparison.. :glare:

We'll as none of you jokers seem to want to give it up I ordered a new one.

Your IBA karma will be much improved by this choice (an in ways you might not yet comprehend if you think about rallies in the futre), your FJR will gain 3 hp at the wheel, and you'll begin to grow more hair in the desirable places as a result. Also, the person who made the video, Dean Tanji, is an FJR owner.

Enjoy.....you only have to put up with me for about 20 seconds. ;)
