I was in the same boat as the OP, I read the thread on here about the video, find the subject interesting, and immediately went to the link to check on buying one. With absolutely no disrespect to the makers, I just couldn't justify $50 bucks for one. I really hope that this video becomes a success, and they sell enough to justify lowering the cost for future offerings to get more volume. I'd have winced, and bought one for $30.

I find the Iron Butt Rally fascinating, I'm just too poor and have too many other farkles that improve my riding to justify that price personally.

It is not an Iron Butt video but does buns of steel work?

Also, the person who made the video, Dean Tanji, is an FJR owner.

So get him on this bourd & give a FJR group buy discount ???? If it gives you 3 more HP at the wheel , you will need the $20 bucks saved to pay for the less fuel milage :)

Looking to buy the new Iron Butt video. It is $50 on the website and I just can't justify that amount of money for an hour or so long video.
Anybody bought it, watched it and ready to part with it?

How about $25 shipped?
A 1000mi`s in an hour & a half , talk about hyper speed. Anyone tell me what it intails before i buy one. ???
The IBR isn't a SS1K. 2 different things. The video is about the IBR:

https://www.ironbuttrally.com/IBR/default.cfm

since there are no ads for products, trailers for other movies, etc. there's no way to get someone else to pay for half the cost of the video. therefore it's $50 instead of $25.

Good point. It'd be interesting to compare the total costs to the participants after it was all said and done.
i had a brand new (paid in full), unconfigured 2003 FJR when i got "the call". once the farkles, entry fee, transportation, lodging, and rally expenses were tallied up, it took me 4 years to pay off the debt. i ran without a fuel cell (so those associated costs aren't included).

There has to be some one to make copys . The economy sucks
Asking somebody to break the law and pirate a copy? Don't justify it with the economy as a lame excuse. And please don't make us need have to add to #9 of the Forum Guidelines!

Suck it up and buy your own copy, attend a screening, or borrow somebodies legal copy. Don't go stealing from a fellow FJR owner like Dean. Your karma would suffer. :cold:

First of all 50 bucks is way out of the ball park .The guy wants to make money thats fine and good but to make a 400 percent profit is a bit steep if he sold it for 35 bucks he would sell a hell of alot more and make a nice buck, ask him . When i said make a copy that did not mean a free copy 25 bucks . Was i crossing the line at the time of my post i was not thinking i was at all . After i read your pm from you yes i crossed it a bit and i am sorry if i offened any of the members of this forum . As for Karma i keep makeing day in and day out .

Movie Night

Click above

Anybody in the Hampton Roads area is welcome to come. Afterwards I will likely sell it for $35 shipped conus. Like new, only watched twice at that point.

I did enjoy it but not $57 (shipped) worth.

he'll be lucky to break even at $50 a copy.

Hey, I'd be willing to rent it from someone. Say $5 plus shipping both ways?

Not commenting on what it's worth, but shouldn't it be available to rent somewhere?
