First off, found my unused set of peg pads and will get them off to you Weds. (Can't hit the post office till then)
On another note....unless your woman has some kind of ankle issue, the proper way to board is from the left side of the bike (sidestand side)..... and my wife places her foot on the board/peg facing forward, the way it sits when she is riding, and then, stands up and swings her leg over.
Making that extra turn or twist sounds like she is asking for a slip and possible fall....which might take you and the bike with her. This is also the exact way I saddle up, placeing my left foot on the left peg...in the riding position, then holding the front brake, I stand up and swing my right leg over.
Perhaps if she tries this method you may not only save yourself a paint job, but will stop needing to replace the peg pads.
And as I no longer make any moolah on the floorboards........ My wife says :
"They are the cats pajamas, and you should get them for your bike...the increase in passenger comfort and security is wonderfull."
The rubber is glued on to the floorboards, but if she starts placing her foot down the way described she won't wear that out either.
