A friend and FJR owner needs a good used, low mile, stock rear shock assy. He doesn't participate in these boards and has asked me to look for him. If you have one you wish to sell: please either post info here or pm me w/price, year, miles, etc and phone number, location...etc. and I'll pass it on.

tia, John

You know, I don't think he does (he's never mentioned it). I'll have to ask him. He has an '04 with 60+ K miles and the damping of the stock shock is getting "limp". I think he just wants to kinda start over? And... is looking for someone's take-off.

I guess he doesn't have a Y.E.S. or some other reason not to pursue a warranty issue?
He says he doesn't have the "chutzpa" to ask for a warranty replacement after 60+K miles. He would, however, be willing to buy a low-mileage take-off shock.

Thanks, I'll check it out. Like I mentioned -- he's electronically/keyboard challenged (I think he just rides all the time...) -- so, I may have to do it? Friendship may only go so far....? He does have a telephone, tho!

i have my 04 abs sitting in the ohlins box doing nothing. i could give it away for the price of shipping.

i'll be at laguna seca tomorrow for a track day and will headed out at 6am in the morning.

this shock was offerd to the person who started this post and if they pass on it, i'll make a post listing to any one else.

SO, please stop sending me emails requesting it be sent to you!! i was trying to help someone out here, NOT everyone else.

thanks in advance,

am

Well, my friend (the one who doesn't do computers) has his replacement, take-off, rear shock for his 60+K mile '04. Thanks to all who replied to the request; and, a special thanks to ApexMolester. Shows, I think, how well this board can work; and is just another of its many benefits.
