'Bout time! Crap, I hope that fix that dreadful kickstand issue. And for the love of Craig, please let Yamaha solve the surging issue. Oh, and don't even get me started on the ticking. Let us not forget to 'pray' for a solution to that heat problem. Then there's the trouble with the Gen II windshield whistle. Yikes. How they gonna fix all that?

Oh, wait... What's that? Huh? The final drive problem? Kool-Aid? Huh?

Turns out things aren't so bad after all.

:good:

Wouldn't it be really cool if they did a special FJR model? Kinda like the FJR version of the R1 LE?

Well, a fella can dream can't they?

No, 'cause then I wouldn't feel special anymore, since I can't afford one anyway. I'm hoping for more colors that would make better fingernail polish than motorcycle paint, like most of what we've gotten so far (besides Cerulean, Black and Dark Charcoal, and maybe Cobalt).

I guess I like everything but Galaxy Blue and Cherry or whatever they call that stuff....

WOW I was hoping the 2009 model would be my first FJR. But after reading this post me thinks maybe not. Surging problems?, heat issues (Which I thought they solved), kickstand issues? windscreen issues, and a ticking in the motor. For a motorcycle that been around for what 8 years or so, such simplistic issues shouldn't exist.

Maybe if Honda bring out a bike to replace the Blackbird and ST1300 so as to compete directly with the Yamaha FJR1300 and the Kawasaki GTR1400 my next bike problems will be solved B)

WOW, sounds like there are still a lot of annoying issues with this bike  or are these just the things that give it character :exhappysmiley:

So will the 09's be considered GEN II or is it too early to tell?

WOW, I wonder if the new model will come with built in leads to jump out the ignition switch when it fails?

Never was much for fishing personally. I've got big fingers and never could quite get the bait on the hook effectively.......

Oh, I've also heard that the new counter-rotating dual rod shaft drive almost completely eliminates the shuddering feeling of the GenII's shaft jacking under hard acceleration. Sweet!

Thanks for the link. Now I understand...

Sarcasm is most often used as an intelligent form of humor to satirically and paradoxilly portray the minutinae and uselessness in some aspects of everyday life....

:)

That reminds me, I need to make up a switch, with leads and a couple quick taps so that I'm ready when this strikes me.

Anyone up for an ignition bypass group buy? :)
