After fixing the cam chain the tick still existed now you could hear it plainly on the left side. After signing a work order to continue looking for the noise I called Yamaha and asked if they would just inform the dealer what is going on. Of course they said the dealer didn't ask the right questions or maybe the questions the right way. So within a few hours got a call from the dealer they had found carbon build up, I take it on the valves, and oil in the headers. So Yamaha authorized the fix and sent them the parts needed including headbolts. So it looks like Yamaha is not letting the dealers order the need parts so there are no mix ups. Hopefully he said a couple of weeks. Yamaha did take my vin # from me and asked what year. No other questions, I have a YES warranty, not even any maintanence records.
I still think yamaha only gives them direct info on the bike they are fixing and not whats going on across the nation.
So while it in I might do a little good will and have them replace plugs just so they don't, air filter a radiator flush seeing they have to disconnect the hoses and whatever else it might need. Would they have to replace the plugs and coolant anyway??
Thanks for all the support and just like an Alka Seltzer, "Oh what a relief it is."
