Does anyone have a higher level contact at Yamaha Customer Service? I have been having an issue since October of last year that is not getting the attention from Yamaha that is needed to fix the issue. I could bring it to an independent mechanic, but I bought the YES program and this should be fixed for free. The Product Specialist that I am working with is basically useless. I don't want to go into all of the details (no need to throw mud) until it is resolved. Please PM me if you can help. You can also call me directly at (518) 461-1319 if you want. Thanks, Steve

finding someone who gives a **** is always a problem no matter what or who you talk to. Start bugging the **** out of

the highest guy up the chain you can access & then do not stop until you get desired results. Be an ******* if you have to,

the old saying about the squeaky wheel works in this application, more often and the louder the squeak the quicker you will get oiled.

Hope I don't need this info. Took a month for Yamaha to supply my dealer with software to fix my bike.

Want to be ready to squawk if needed.

I'm making a little progress. I just heard from someone at Yamaha that sounds like they can actually get this addressed. I am feeling encouraged. I'll keep everyone updated. Yup - squeaky wheel.

You should be more specific about your issue. If there's a technical service bulletin for your problem, or a lot of documentation elsewhere, you can often use that to help motivate your dealer to sort your issue out.

Yep! Regardless of what you're trying to get Mammy Yammy to do, we can't help if you don't say what the "problem" is.

The "problem" is a stumble/miss/surge (call it whatever you want) at a constant throttle position. It is an intermittent problem that I can not reproduce on command. Sometimes it's mild (like a hitting a strong wind or little bump in the road), but sometimes it's almost violent (stumble then hits hard). Some days it dosent do it at all. It has been happening for the last 20,000 miles, so I know it's not bad gas. It happens whether I control the throttle or on cruise control. All of the "normal" culprits have been checked: tps, trouble codes, etc. I have run a "tracker/data logger" on the bike for hundreds of miles, but nothing shows up. The four dealers that have looked at it (2 in California & 2 in New York) don't know what to do. They reached out to Yamaha, but were not getting any guidance. I finally got Yamaha to listen to me and they are going to have a Regional tech come look at the bike. I'll let you know what they find. It should be covered by YES and that might be why the dealers have been reluctant to look deeper into the issue.

I have NOT found this to be the case. In the 2 times I used my Y.E.S. the 2 different dealerships bent over backwards to accommodate me, even tho both of them f'd up the work and/or the bike.. The 2nd dealership even went to the mat for me when Mammy Yammy said it wasn't covered.

FWIW, imho if "they" haven't solved the problem by now they never will. Yer on yer own......
