Have any Canadians seen anything from sleepy old Yamaha Canada on this topic??? The two dealers I spoke with knew nothing.

To further answer my own question, I had the update done today by my selling dealer. The fix went smooth as silk, and appears to add a significant amount of strength to the top box/mounting plate over the original. Yamaha allows .5 of an hour for the work; the mechanic may have taken 10 minutes more as it was his first install of the kit. I recommend having it done.To answer my own question, my recall notice made it to Nova Scotia today. I contacted my selling dealer and the parts are/will be ordered. Yamaha Canada was not asleep at all on this topic, only dozing. I sure got a giggle out of the "don't use the top box and the saddle bags together spiel"; what a crock!!!
You can get more beer in an E52 :thumbsupsmiley:Received my recall notice today stating if I had a Yamaha top box read on, & if not just ignore their letter.....now I'm really glad I passed on the Yamaha top box & bought a Givi 52 instead :yahoo: .....
