Man...I'd be doing a u-turn and going the other directions once I saw those ice/snow covered roads. My southern *** ain't used to riding in that mess! lol

Awesome looking ride other than that! Breathtakingly beautiful out there thats for sure. TFS

Wanna buy a snowmobile and keep going?

Pretty pics, wet sloppy roads is the buzz kill at least for me. Salt?

Thanks for sharing!!

As a southerner, I cannot imagine holding up the bike for 45 friggin minutes on that icy road. My palms got a tad sweaty just reading your report. Glad you didn't fall.
The diversity in the climate of our country is incredible. Today here (Lafayette, LA), it will likely get to 80 degrees, yet I bet somewhere in the lower 48, it may struggle to reach 30.
Great RR & photos. I had some serious 'shrinkage' just thinking about it!

It's 72F (22C) here on the coast today. Time for lunch and a ride.

What was all that white stuff? It looked slippery and cold...

I agree with hppants, our climate is diverse as is our geography. The closest thing we have to a mountain is the levee on the Mississippi River.

Excellent Stuff.

Great pics, challenging day for sure. I had something slightly similar here in WA a few weeks ago. But, nothing like what you rode.

Well done!

Nice RR, reminds me of the time I caught myself like a moron going over Donner's pass in a blizzard. FJR handles snow well if your smooth and have luck on your side. Too bad you have to park her for the winter Steve
