Glad you got out to enjoy those newly opened passes... we sure are lucky to those in our backyard, huh?

Tyler, Looking back at this trip makes me miss Californication. Wow, right out my door and onto these incredible roads!

Today was nearly 50 degrees but we're facing sub-zero temps for the next couple of days. WTF?

WOW! Seems this might be the time of year to ride to Yosemite! Although I'm sure the weather can be iffy, when I was there last summer, in July, on a Saturday, I couldn't get out fast enough!! 1/2 the state of California must have been there at the same time. Maybe 1/2 of Arizona, and 3/4 of Nevada thrown in too!

In other words, I wouldn't go back if you paid me. At least in July, on a Saturday.

But maybe, just maybe, you are on to something!!

Thanks for sharing,

Brian

Good RR. GREAT ride. You can't take a bad picture of Yosemite. And holy cow, not a centimeter of snow. We're actually in drought preambles 'round these parts, as you know.

I'll jump on the bandwagon and say you're a prick for not inviting all of California's motorcyclists on this ride. What were you thinking??? I would have been happy to meet you around 2PM after getting up and taking about 5 hours to do the 3 it takes some to get to Yosemite. But now I have a hankering to pop up there for an overnight....

BTW, my absolute best twisties ride in the last several years was blasting down Wawona Rd the 12 miles from the Glacier Point crossroads to the Wawona Hotel. Holy cow! I was on my game that day, and encountered NO other vehicles in front of me, as I as I slammed the bike into those broad, positively cambered sweepers.
