I'm a Steelers fan but I have nothing against the Giants. Some history followed by an unscientific calculation ....
(1) September, 2000 - January,2005: Plaxico Burress plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers and leaves as a free agent. Why? The Steelers chose to keep Hines Ward, the #2 WR on the depth chart, who consistently outperformed Burress (the supposedly #1 WR on the depth chart).
(2) September, 2005: Burress starts for the NY Giants.
(3) February, 2006: Pittsburgh Steelers win Super Bowl XL.
(4) 2007 season: Burress wins Super Bowl with the NY Giants. Gets lucky when Eli Manning achieves the scramble of a lifetime on a busted play and manages to toss the ball to Burress (who, I hate to admit it, did make a good catch).
(5) 2008: In nine games, Burress scores only 3 TD's, gains only 454 yards, and (to date) misses 3 entire games while the Giants win all 3 of those games and have a YTD record of 11-1.
Add #3 and #5 together and what do you get? Teams do not need Plaxico Burress to win. Good riddens.

Oh, come now, where have you been? There are LOTS of folks riding the wagon since last Superbowl. Now, come this winter, you may have a difficult time locating the ones that were not stupid enough to actually put a "Superbowl XLII Champions" on their salt-rusted POS cars.
