Since you guarntee that there will be no fog, I may attend via Hwy 49. Any suggestions for a "scenic" route from 49 to Roseville? I despise 4 lanes as much as you do!
John, ride Hwy 49 all the way to Auburn, then head West on Hwy 80. Once you ride down the twisty part past Cool, turn Right at the stop sign and ride up the canyon, left on ForestHill Rd. to I-80.

There are a couple of options by running secondary roads just West of Auburn but it would take some homework to get you a route (unless you have a GPS. I could easily build you one in MapSource and PM it to you).

One Option would be to ride Salmon Falls Rd. down from Pilot Hill (just North of Coloma) and taking city streets through Folsom to Roseville....but thats many stop signals, etc.
Mike, PM away, I'm Garmin 2730 equipped. My Saturday schedule and the weather looks to be pretty nice so looks like I'll make this. Thanks!
May I cut in?

PM sent.

John -- My suggestion for Mike to put into MapSource would be to make a left (instead of right) at the stop sign on 49 just across the north fork of the American River at the confluence. When you get to the top of the canyon at Auburn, go straight through that light and keep going straight through the intersections on that road (variously, Lincoln and High Streets) through Auburn until it again becomes High Street and hits Auburn Folsom Road. Make a left there and take it into Loomis where you hit a signal (first one in a few miles) at Horseshoe Bar Road. Make a right there and take Horseshoe Bar through about 3 stop signs (rural area) across I-80 to Taylor Rd., where you make a left. Follow same to Roseville Yamaha.

I live a block off that route in Auburn and it is beginning to shape up that I'll have the day free (GF to be in Marysville for her son's soccer tournament), so I may be attending and taking the route I've described from my place. (Or a mildly tweaked version of that route that gets me off Horseshoe Bar just before it gets to 80 and onto Barton and then Rocklin Road and then over to Taylor.) Not sure whether I'll be in Auburn Friday night or will be riding back up here from GF's in Fair Oaks on Sat. morning, though. What time do you expect to come through Auburn?

Guess I'm still deciding whether to go on my FJR or the better farkled Blackbird (which you'll recall from our cold Ebbetts and Sonora pass loop ride a couple years ago).

Sounds like fun. Terri and I will be there on a scratched up, overloaded and abused FJR.

No show bike stuff for me.

I'm gonna have to visit my uncle some other time it seems. I have to be in Mountain View at 1p on Sat :(

Yeah, Zac, there'll be a showing of FJRs. BUT, you know us....no bike show for us, we "ride" ours so they also bear the scars of the miles we ride. Besides, we may want to take off for some lunch or riding and not be required to leave our bike in a "show".

I suppose some of us could make a list of the 2 or 3 things we've done to our bikes. Maybe we could have it on the bike for others to read........if you think that would be of interest.

John...Rich is absolutely right about the route. I thought about it at work today and was going to amend my suggestion.

Rich/Mike,

Thanks to both for the routing. Uber and I will be heading out by 0915 from Hwys 49 & 26 to Auburn via 193. Goog maps says it's a 2 hr 50 min trip, but I doubt we will take near that long knowing a hot cup of coffee awaits in Auburn. Rich, PM me your number and I'll call with an update if you get freed up to go. Bring the Feejer, we don't want to be upstaged by the black beauty!

Hey, is there gonna be some food at this gig? There should be food. Free food. Weenies maybe?...And how about those gals with umbrellas?

...And test rides on that new V-Max. And Madmike autographs. And ...
OM, if you show up in your Santa suit, the umbrella girls will surely depart the premises. Be sure to wear boxers huh!

Rumor mill has it that there is a chance that we will have Bostrom's factory Supersport bike on hand. Its not confirmed, we need to arrange transport toget it here.

Food..........yes BBQ of various shapes and flavors.

Girls? Nees you ask? But most likely not in tank tops. The cold weather and thin shirts could lead to....well.........err....................this is a family event, remember?

And for you big kids, Santa will be in the house.

No Vmax OR R1 yet...Jan/Feb before we see them. :angry2:

Add my name to the list. Thanks MM for the heads-up. Those of you who are familiar with this shop would have to agree with me that it is the best shop ever!! Glad to support it in any way! Roseville Yamaha is loaded with really GOOD people and it is a pleasure to visit at anytime. My steed isn't ready for "show", but is happy to "tell". See you at 10:00 on 12/6.

Alan

I will be heading over also.

Another event that is happening not far from Roseville Yamaha is an exotic car show and toy drive at Quarry Pond in Granite Bay. This is sponsored by EuroSunday, a group that a friend of mine is involved in. Here is a link to more info. https://www.eurosunday.net/rally4kids/

I will be checking this out also. I went last year and there were lots of very nice cars. This year there are more cars and motorcycles expected.

I had a chance to put my bike back together last night and plan on attending. Spoke with JB from Roseville yamaha last night and it sounds like this show will be pretty cool.

What time do you guys plan on showing up?

Hope to see ya out there!

I'm heading out to meet CAJW and toot around the countryside in route, hope to arriving arriving around 11:00ish.

Crap, Michael already used an "ish", retracting mine. I wish that wouldn't have happened. Seems fishy to me, could be an ishue in our relationship.

FOGGY, it is. Wet are the roads, dry under parked cars. NOT this way, has been all week. Special, you are.

You'll probably be all right in the foothills and most of this should burn off by late morning. Seriously, it hasn't been this way all week yet....here we are.
