'85 K100RS. I liked the bike, but there was no second thought about replacing it with the FJR - Much More Sport & A Little More Tour = Happy Pappy

My first bike, a Honda Shadow VLX 600

After I got rid of it my dad and I 'shared' a Shadow 1100 for about 2 years. He got a Yammie Warrior about a month before I got my FJR, and now we can ride at the same time without looking silly.

As a freshman I had a '79 Kawi KZ 750

my sophomore bike was a '84 Kawi Ltd 750

--- 10 years bike-less then returned as a

junior and went to a '02 V-star 1100

and as a senior I now felt competent for the '04 FJR

gypsy

My last steed was an 82 Honda CBX. One of what I consider an early factory sport touring machine. Was (is) a fun machine but boy is it heavy compared to the FJR. Sad to admit I have not touched the CBX since the FJR purchase.

Child support payments so no bike

2000 Suzuki Marader VZ800

2003 FJR 1300

First Street Bike was an 80's Yamaha Maxim 550 (don't remember exact year great bike)

Second was a Honda Shadow VLX 600 just like Carnifex but black.

Third was a Yamaha VStar 1100 Black 2000

Fourth my pride and joy 2005 FJR1300 Galaxy Blue.

Dirt Bikes 1st an old 80's yz250 that would throw off most who dared.

2005 Raptor 350 4 wheeler that I traded in with the vstar for the fjr.

A Yamaha Virago 535

Had it for a year in AZ but got rid of it because plywood and drywall became difficult to haul on the bike. Ya know, crosswinds. :haha:

I started out with the "classic" Yamaha DT 50 that all the kids had, and from there progressed to the Honda NSR 50 a few months later. A few months after that, a Yamaha DT 125 and eventually I graduated to a Yamaha XT 600.

Later on, and since I started taking it to the dirt less and less so I traded in for a Yamaha XJ 600N.

In the mean time I bought a crashed vintage Kawasaki Z1300 that had been sitting in a junkyard for a couple of years and restored it (it took almost 3 years). My first serious motorcycle project B)

While all that was happening, I traded the XJ600 for a Kawasaki ZZR-1100, and a little while later bought my first new bike since the DT50, this time a Yamaha XJR1300.

Fast forward to almost three years later, the Z1300 is up and running and out the door she goes because the FJR is about to join the family.

So, for the past few months I've been riding the XJR, the FJR and the Kawasaki. Sadly, the XJR was destroyed in an accident a few weeks ago, so now the family is down to 2 bikes again. If I win the lottery, there'll be a MV Agusta Brutale Gladio in my future :D
