Pulling into garage after work and daughter's bike was in the way. Leaned over to move her bike over and overbalanced... long slow "oh shit oh shit oh shit... gdamnit!" Laid her down realllly slow and as careful as I could. My own damn fault... should have parked her and then moved the daughter's bike out of the way.

Slight marks on the lower right fairing. I was freaking out until I got her stood back up and got a look. Think I pulled a muscle in my back either setting her down or picking her back up.

I feel your pain, chivvalry, laid mine down twice in the garage and once in a driveway. I feel more stable at 80 mph than when I'm sitting still. Hasn't happened in a while, thank God, but it seems to be a rite of passage...bigjimbiker :yahoo:

p.s. I had a nice new set of sliders on the bench the second time I dropped her... :angry:

Thanks guys... Just that morning I had been looking at the OES sliders and trying to decide if I should order them or the new GPS first. Well, about 10 min after I righted Zoe yesterday I ordered the sliders. That suddenly became a VERY easy decision. Back is fine this morning after some sodium naproxen (Advil)

Ouch! My sliders went on, a few days after tipover #1. They helped a lot for the encore performance. Hope the Naprosyn is doing it for you.

Three times low speed, but forgot about the garage "incident".

Pulled in my single garage, forgot about the brick stopper in front of the bike jack, and bike slowly went to starboard.

The bars hit and stopped against the wall and the bike sat there at 45 degrees with nothing else touching.

Kinda at jeopardy as I'm usually tired or exhausted or overheated (usually a combination) returning home and have to execute a carrier landing inside the hanger.

Its just good that you dropped it slow. Coming from that VTX, it's surprising how fast she can get away from you huh? I've dropped mine a couple of times, every time, from a complete stop. It pisses me off seeing my bike laying there like a beached whale!

Our girls are certainly top heavy and I am always very careful when moving her around in the garage. Although my Valkyrie is about 100 lbs heavier, she has a much lower center of gravity and is much easier to handle in the garage.

The VTX had a MUCH lower COG. The bitch is I knew that and still did the stupid. She seems to not be holding a grudge as I took her for a ride today and she was cutting and swooping thru twisties eagerly. What a huge difference from the X. Took the big road back and she eats miles there like nothing. What a great bike.

Had tunes going in the starcom and it sounded pretty good. No noticeable noise other than a real slight hiss between songs. I miss my vista cruise though. Have it on "the list".
