Haha...Small guns will get you every time. I have a little Beretta Tomcat .32 that will take skin off the knuckle if the shooter is not paying attention. Just a good semi-auto grip keeps me out of trouble with it, and for what it is, it is accurate as Hell, and easy to shoot.

It has been along time since I have picked up a revolver. I don't even have one in my safe. My mom has a really nice S&W Detective's special .38 special, and a long time ago, my dad bought a Ruger BlackHawk 44mag single action. It's pretty easy to figure out the grip if you pay attention to the ergonomics of the gun.

So...I'm glad what I told WC helped out his grouping. What's amazing is that it was all done over email with a couple of videos. The rest was up to him, and he did just fine. We can take a group of cadets, give them hands-on training for two weeks straight, constantly hammering on correct grip and trigger control, and they still screw it up.

Oh...And speaking of zombies, have you guys seen the Zombie-Max ammunition from Hornady? The .223 and .308 look good as they are just basically Hornady TAP rounds with a yellow ballistic tip instead of a red one. I'm gonna order some of the 12ga ammo just because the hull says "Zombie-Max" on it. Dorky, but still sort of cool.

Check out their YouTube video. This guy starts out with a 6" STI 2011 with a lightened slide and transitions to an AR15 with Safariland's new 60 round magazine (I think it's Safariland). Honestly, if I was gonna go after zombies, it would be with my STI and my AR. Haha:

I can hear the prosecutor now. This was not a self defense shooting in order to save one's life.

This defendant meant to kill the Zomie victim. Why else would someone buy Zombie Max Ammunition.

Find the defendant guilty and send a clear message to those that would pray on innocent Zombies.

so deal the dish, dude! (PM/e-mail if you must)

spent a long weekend "back home" (at Mom's place). called ahead and got the top-tier gun range to pull my records and they had my (misplaced) Lifetime Membership card (1984) waiting for me by the time I walked in the door. Spent about 4 hours there. MAN that place is about 4 times larger than it was the last time I went. They even have a little bistro on-site.

Got the Crimson Trace zeroed on the LCP. Got some rounds down range with the 870. Spent some productive time with both Kimbers. That sort of thing. Did it all on their rifle range. (Good for me and sad for them) the folk that started trickling in to the 50 yard range were shooting "patterns" with their ARs at 7-10 yards. My ragged single-holes at 30' (TYHRZ) expanded out to keeping within the 7 ring at 50 yards with the Kimber Custom Match. It did remind me that the sights are hard to use on a dark target. I'd have to raise my aim up to a light-contrast area, align the sights, then lower back down to my intended point of aim (hoping to keep a reasonable alignment). I need to "paint" that front sight with some white-out.

Spent about 2 hours cleaning the guns on the back patio, with my MP3's and a fine cigar, the next day.
