Recalculating: Now in the OC!
I don't actually know when firmware version 3.30 became available, but I downloaded it today. I didn't see it mentioned anywhere on the board, so I thought I'd tip off anyone else who missed it.

Anything specific about the revision, albiet from last April?

Changes made from version 3.20 to 3.30:

Added a user selectable Off Route Recalculation Mode

Updated Compass and Trip Computer displays to remember their last page mode

Enabled Bluetooth troubleshooting whenever a phone is paired

Allow volume adjustment when using a Bluetooth headset with audio option set to phone only

Added Lithuanian text language support

Corrected issues in Trip log archive support that resulted in 0 length files and false reporting of full logs

Corrected issue on Compass page that prevented it from displaying the heading

Corrected flashing on the Enter Coordinates page

Corrected issue that allowed the page key to escape from the pin entry for Garmin Lock

Corrected rare issue that could prevent proper startup when custom POI files contain a large number of bitmaps

Corrected problem ejecting on Mac computers

It fixed the mess I was having when using the route planning feature.

Before the update when planning my own routes all the roads would be highligheted and it would tell me to make a turn where there wasn't one.

Now it works as it should (thank God) and I love it!

Also don't forget to update your mapsource software via the website.

Just received mine in the mail yesterday. Wow, what a package. This thing has it all. Will take me a month to learn how to use it all.

I think the next update just got released.

My Zumo has been plain daffy since I loaded v3.3.

:ranting2:

Once last weekend it told me to turn left when the screen showed the route turning right. NO LIE. Several times it told me to turn left or right at an intersection when the route went straight. Once it couldn't make up its mind and kept reversing direction. Yea - ask JamminJerry - he thought I was love or something with that one set of twisties on Mountain Rd because I kept circling around and going through them, again and again...wasn't really a bad experience. Caused us to make several wrong turns. I gotta complement EJ and BuggaBugga on their ability to make U-turns on 2-laners. Wife can't see the screen but she can hear the voice prompts. She thought "Jill" was plain off her rocker - or would that be her cradle?

 Seemed to work just fine before I loaded 3.3.

Still haven't figured out where to set the user selectable Off Route Recalculation Mode. That would be nice to set. Only bitch I have is with the shared_routes file. Software ought to allow you to accumulate multiple files on sequential saves, instead of forcing you to save all the routes in a single file and over-writing the previous file.

I really like my Zumo, I would buy another one, and that's as strong a recommendation as I can make for it, but it has really been acting weird lately, I think maybe I'm going to have to evict the squirrels that messed with the firmware configuration.

I'm not sure what you meant by this.

I can put a lot of routes on my GPS but can only transfer one at a time from the computer to the Zumo.
