I bought extended frame sliders from Ebay with the hopes of using them as highway pegs also, but they are still too short and my legs hit the fairing making it uncomfortable to use the sliders as pegs.
So the cheap side of me made some frame slider extenders using schedule 80 sprinkler pipe, aluminumized tape, and old cut up grips.
It is comfortable to use, but I am concerned the tape will expand/contract with temperature making it impossible to remove them. They are high enough to clear in a tight turn and are installed snug, but I wonder if there are any pit falls to trying this? Maybe drill a hole through the sliders and extenders with a pin to be safe?
Any thoughts?
