So, as ya'll may have noticed, my bud RenoJohnnie thinks we're all a bunch of crashing, death-wishing nutheads who only post of our crashes, close calls, and deaths. While I don't fully agree with my good northern amigo, , I do have to say he has a point. Damn, I hate to say that part, but it's trooo, it's troo!

So, RJ, I just wanted to let you know I rode a full Candy Butt Association ride today, and I'm A-OK!

1. No crashes.

2. No tickets.

3. No close calls.

4. No arrests.

5. No aww-shitz moments!

Matter of fact, I had a great time!

Sorry, Reno, I just had to poke fun at yah, you deserve it!

Oh, and of course,

:****:

Hugs N Kisses

Anyone else want to help my buddy RenoJohniie with good newz?

So you found the key on the 'Busa ok?

Well, I had a near miss this aft....

Rounded the end of the aisle, and whammo...almost creamed a lady and her cart with my grocery cart. She was in the WRONG lane?

What is with people these days? No damned cart sense anymore

:p

Well Carver that certainly is refreshing. Good on ya for not stacking it up today ....

Seems so many threads are about death and crashing.

How many death and crash threads are there? seems people get on the forum all week long, read and talk about death and crashing and then come the weekend they're so focused on it that they go out and crash themselves ...

Never have I seen a group so prone to crashing, and my personal opinion: It's because they sit at they keyboard and lament over it for hours upon hours. So much it becomes part of their inner psyche/subconscious-thought ---and they go out and crash themselves. It's a vicious circle.

And why such focus on death? Jeeze, we've had threads about pets dying ....as if there isn't enough negative vibes going around already with the focus on people stacking up and/or dying.

Sorry but there is a lot of fun to be had on moto-bikes, and while death and crashing are certainly things that can happen, Personally I'll put my energy into positive and fun thoughts.

Think fun, have fun

Think crash, have crash

It's that simple.

Oakland got the #1 draft pick in 2007!
LOL
I've had a few good moto-bike stack-ups over the years. Many good concussions (no surprise to many), ribs through my kidneys and the assorted misc stuff that happens when you fall off a moto-bike

And, like everyone, I've had some real tough real-life challenges

BUT NOTHING, NOTHING is as painful as being a raider fan. It is like an abusive relationship that you keep going back for more abuse ...even though you know better.

v65, thanks for reminding me of just how painful it is to be a Raider fan. :)

RenoJohn, mi amigo; since dcarver is looking after your mental well being with good wishes from all of us today, here goes:

1) I only want you to have happy news from we Stanley Boys en Domingo, Septiembre 20. Seth and I rode to Superior, Arizona for menudo this morning, like we do every Sunday; except Seth cannot handle menudo, he orders the posole.

2) Seth and his Mom Jean, and I, celebrated her 52nd birthday with a pool party in my backyard. Had tamales from El Sol Bakery in Chandler and Jean mixed up a number of blender batches of her delicious margaritas with Herradura Especial.

3) Just like Barb, I too had a very close call. Whenever, I get on my big blue pool float: My 95 lb. Labrador Retriever Bear "Oso" really thinks that it's funny to cannonball me by jumping from the cool deck onto my belly, trying to spill my beer. But the good news is that I saw him starting his run at me out of the corner of my eye and saved my can of Tecate!

4) I went all day without hearing one single solitary peep out of Herr Marbach; peace and quiet from SkootyG on a Sunday!

5) Best news of all for you, mi Hermano: We had the TV playing on the poolside table and Raiders beat the Chiefs, 13-10!!!

Yep,
Don, you're the exception ...always something positive to say. You've seen crashes, you've seen death, you've been in crashes, you've been near death ...but you don't lament on it and bring a big downer to the group.

Instead, you bring positive and fun energy to wherever you are and the people around you I for one appreciate that. And, as much as I like you, I could really give a **** if your dog died today, so thanks for not attempting to drag me down with that when it happens. I'll look for that kind of info over on the "my dog died" forum.

I sure hope we can log a few miles together soon, no doubt it'll be some good fun.

I call ********! :p

There ya go adding to the negative vibes. Ribs shmibs -- stop the whining for cryin' out loud!

You want pain? Be a Red Sox fan pre-2004, a Cubs fan or Saints fan any year. Man up, get rid of your mangina and put your pants back on. Go take a ride or sumpin'! Sheesh, all this negative writing has me in a foul mood.

Sante Fe Dreamin and I had a great ride today and the worst thing that happened to us was the waitress at the buffet bitched at us for sitting in the wrong area. How were we supposed to know the patio was closed? Then I won $5 in the casino so the buffet only cost me $2.56. That was about all it was worth. It was not that good.

Dude are you back on the pill again? You have a point about the mangina thing but I was just wonderin' so I can keep out of your way. :D

https://www.motodiscovery.com/tours/mexico/xccx_map.html RJ, I believe you have been out riding most of this weekend.

ShinyPartsUp, Brian "El Jefe" Boles and I are riding 650 single's through Copper Canyon, Mexico in November 2010.

We are riding Southwest from Creel, Chihuahua to Los Mochis, Sinaloa in November of 2010: Can you join up with us?

As you know, there are nine separate canyons that make up Barrancas del Cobre. We will ride the second lowest canyon that leads through Batopilas, Choix, El Fuerte and then on to a beach house on the Sea of Cortez for two nights. We will return to Creel in northern most canyon by running North to Alamos, then riding East through Bahuichivo and Cerocahui.

Gosh, your post is very interesting, I've never thought about it like that before now.

In fact, I enjoyed my ride to Clovis to spend time with "the kids" and help build fun things in the garage. I had a nice ride home, too.

Like Don:

1. No crashes.2. No tickets.

3. No close calls.

4. No arrests.

5. No aww-shitz moments!
Really, John, you should work on your negative perspective.

;)

<comment deleted> Some ride. Some even post ride reports. Some of those are even pretty good. A lot of these poor bastards don't get out much. Take the good with the bad. Go ride.

And stop over thinking this stuff RJ.
