So guys here is the deal Madmike and RogDebs have been planning this DV ride for a while, lets go meet them,

I checked with Stovepipe Wells Village and all they have left are crappy rooms at $100+ and not many of those. Also Furnace Creek has rooms but they are over $200

As most of you know I and several others just got back from Death Valley Days with BeemerDon and a bunch of BMW's, As you also know most of the SoCal FJR "kittens" decided not to ride in the rain and snow (me included).

Now is your chance to see what you missed minus the rain and snow.

I propose we inhabit the Longstreet Casino again as they were very good host, they will also give us the same discount if we have 10 or more rooms.

(The rooms are still dirt cheap even without the discount).

So the plan would be ride up Thursday or Friday (your choice) and each morning go and meet the NorCal guys some where in the park.

Let me know who is interested, when and if we have enough people i will contact the casino and sort the discount out with them.

Madmike I hope this is OK with you.

Currently at the LongStreet Casino we have..

:yahoo: Ab-so-root-rie! :yahoo:

Since we might all be scattered from stovepipe Wells to Lone Pine to the casino (and maybe a tent camper or two), it sounds like a great shared destination ride to me.

We're going to be in "stop-and-smell-the-wildflowers" mode. Probably do the Furnace Creek-Badwater-Dante's overlook-painted canyon stuff one day and the Northern sights (Crater, Rhyolite, Scottys, Beatty) the other.

No definite plans yet. I'll talk to you tomorrow and we can discuss things and options.

I just called the Longstreet casino and booked my room (same one as last weekend).

Unfortunately we can't get the same rate as Don got (no idea why).

Go ahead and book as soon as u like, the rates are $49.95 for a room and $79.95 for a suite.

HERE is their website.

Let me know when you book.

"Unfortunately we can't get the same rate as Don got (no idea why)." Basically, because I am a handsome and debonair Irishman; and you are an unfortunate victim of circumstance!

"fists up!"
I'll gladly recant my statement: Fairlaner and Niehart ran an outstanding operation at Cantina 102/104 at Death Valley Daze; and I know they'll do the same at WFO!

Adam don't be a "kitten"........
Guess who is going to the UK before WFO.... :drinks: :drinks:

Kitten? I learned from the BEST :****:

woohoo! More brain cells vaporized! As much as this stuff takes your breath away, I loved it! :nyam:

Don't forget the Poitín.
That was Poteen

Not likely that we will see this again unless Dave comes to visit again! **hint Hint**

I will probably take the Jeep this time, As i want to explore DV at a slower pace and enjoy it. Work Permitting, Of course. ;)
Sweetheart I looked it up before I posted it. Learn about it!
Oh, I did learn about it, Honeysuckle. :)
