Cool, thanks for the head's up. We will be riding down from Virginia on Wednesday 10/13...all 500 miles of it. Staying at the Deals Gap Motorcycle Resort (and spa?...NOT). We'll be leaving Saturday probably noonish to take a slower trip back to get home on Sunday before noon.
Soooooooo...
Just finished installing. This is a top-notch product...I was really impressed with the quality of the workmanship.
While I saw no evidence of any overheating within the 8 grounding connections, I feel better knowing I don't really need to worry about it anymore. Now if my connectors would...
I felt absolutely ZERO difference in the performance of the clutch after changing the fluid and I have about 100 miles already. It just felt good inside (ME) to do it. I can't help it...I love my mechanical things!
I also surmised the same thing as to why the clutch fluid looked so much worse...
I don't think you would notice anything at all until you had cylinder failure. The clutch will either operate or not. The cleanliness of the fluid probably won't make any difference until you have so much compressible gook in there that the clutch fails to operate at all. It would probably...
Heh, I used my mityvac as well. Negates asking one of the kids or wife to help and avoids the "loosen, down, tighten, up, loosen, down, tighten, up, loosen..." And no, that is not a new sex move. (It's actually an OLD sex move)
Just flushed all the fluids (brake and clutch) yesterday. I noticed the same thing about the clutch fluid...it was nasty. This is on a '09 with 10,400 miles. Shop mechanic recommended I take a look at the fluid and see if it needed changing even though they usually recommend a 2 year...
Thanks for clearing up the "B" mystery...sort of. I am getting ready to buy a new tire for the rear (already have the PR2 on the front) to replace the OEM Bridgestone. I just cleared 10,000 miles so the 021 rear has not been a bad tire. The front was atrocious and died at just over 5,000 with...
Gotta admit those damn armored pants do make our asses look fat(ter). One guy I met took the hip armor out so he wouldn't look so fat. I'm like, um, why bother with the pants at all then. What good are they without the armor. It's not a fashion show for gripes sake.
I suppose you are old enough to make your own choices. I prefer to live...and stay out of jail.
Yeah, I'm a sissy.
Somewhere south of 100 mph seems reasonable.
Going these kinds of speeds on public roads is just plain stupid.
I have installed a speedo healer to correct the "optimistic" speedometer. I have found that -5.1% gives me exact alignment with my gps.
You can do your own math...or maybe you can't. I suppose if you're stupid enough to go...
