    Well this Memorial Day Weekend, how about some flags? After that I guess it's just limited by my imagination and wiring ability (which, if you look in the background, is not that great :unsure: ).

    Guess I should check this forum out more often. I went ahead and purchased the MC Enterprises guards for my 2006 FJR before I read about the group buy. Non-group buy prices were as follows: Engine/Fairing Guards (part #1200-100) were $150.00 Small Rear Guards (part #1200-300) were $112.50...

    Clunking When First Starting

    Thanks for asking the question Ian. I've been wondering about those cold start "clunks" on my used 2006 FJR. Glad to find out it's semi-normal.

    I'll have to read this board more often. Very nice report. Your son will enjoy Cape D as a duty station. The Coast Guard always needs more surfmen and women.

    Helmet question

    Another +1 for the KBC FFR. It is a little heavier than other flip-ups, but does have the metal latches. It's the helmet I use most often. But I don't think any flip-up provides the chin protection that a FF does and I have a Scorpion Exo 700 for those occasions where I want that protection.
