    cruise control

Hello 67DLA, I am having exactly the same issue with my Audiovox cruise. I used it on an 8K mile round trip up into Canada and it worked terrific. I let it set up in the garage for a few months and now it will not engage. I will be investigating this next week and let you know what I find.

    NEOS Waterporoof Overshoes

I had a friend that had a pair and he loved them. We were riding together in Colorado over Monarch pass and my feet were frozen solid but he was happy as could be. I later purchased a pair off ebay and wore them a few times but being in Lousiana I just don't get a chance to use them very much...

Lousiana to Glacier National Park 2009 solo

The two side coolers are for ice and water. I do a lot of camping and have always liked camping on top of mountain peaks vs along the river bottoms. The views in the mornings as the sun rises over the mountains is some of my best memories from my trips. I usually fill one for drinking water...

    HID Headlight Kit

Skooter - Can you give us an update, did the bulbs turn out to be 5k? Did Mr UPS bring you new bulbs? Ignacio - You mentioned you were doing a detailed evaluation. Can you give us some hints on what you have seen so far. I currently have a stock setup and I am considering purchasing the HID...

Lousiana to Glacier National Park 2009 solo

Hi Everyone, Drc32-0 - I didn't get to camp at the Grand Tetons. I appreciate the info on the Colter Bay campground, I will try it out the next time I loop thru there. I didn't get to really see as much of the Yellowstone area as I wanted. Next time I hope to spend more time in the park...

Lousiana to Glacier National Park 2009 solo

Hi Nikk The side water jugs are for having good water for camping and for cooling when its +100 degrees going across texas. The link below has the pics of how I have them configured. They work good for me. https://www.fjrforum.com/forum//index.php?s...=107836&hl= If you spent 27 days riding...

Lousiana to Glacier National Park 2009 solo

The first pic is from the Kennedy compound and all of the rest are from Wyoming and Montana. I didn't get to geo-tag my pics this trip so I can't give good locations. All of the mountain pics were taken in Glacier National Park. My goal for the trip was to go north into Canada from Glacier and...

Lousiana to Glacier National Park 2009 solo

Lee B - Thanks for the road advice. I knew there had to be a better way than taking I-70 across Kansas. Wheaton FJR - This was my first trip using the North Face Duffle bag and I loved it. With all of the connection points you can strap the bag down anyway you want and also bungee cord connect...

Lousiana to Glacier National Park 2009 solo

The trip was great and I learned the following things: 1) They have a huge Harley rally in North Ark around mid September. 2) An FJR can out run a Harley pretty easily. 3) Kansas is flat and I-70 is straight and the most boring road of the whole trip. 4) Camping can be a great experience...

    Arkansas Sobriety Check

I think it is great that the police are performing traffic stops trying to catch drunk drivers. I wish the police could get serious and make the DUI check points a mandatory weekly activity for every LEO thats drawing a paycheck. I live in North Lousiana and have only seen one DUI check point...

Boost Your Luggage Capacity With Frame Bags

I really like the look of the large motofizz bag on top of the passenger seat. I used a cortech bag on my last trip to Colorado and I could have used a little more room. Another option that you may want to investigate is adding dual water jugs on the passenger pegs. I wrote a report with more...

FJR 1300 Comparison To Sports Bikes

I think that if your going to be making quick 50 - 100 mile jumps for commuting and blowing off steam then a 1000cc crotch rocket is the tool of choice. The shear acceleration power is unbelievable and very addicting. If your looking at making 4000 mile, week long cross country trips then the...

CalSci XL vs. VStream (Gen 2)

Just received my Vstream today and wished that I had purchased it when I first bought the bike. My helmet noise is now roughly 10% of what I had been dealing with using the factory windshield. Thanks JM for the good advice.

DIY Hydration system w/ manual in-line pump

Hi FJRobert, I can honestly say that I have never been checked for lead poisoning. I do have some safety concerns in life, but lead posioning isn't in my top 20. I usually just pump the pump 3 to 4 times into my open jacket to get cold water up. I also insulated the line with the black tube...

DIY Hydration system w/ manual in-line pump

When using the manual bulb I will just pump it 3 to 4 times to get water up from the tank to the end of the hose. Then I will just suck on the end of the hose just like you would on the end of a straw. The check valve will prevent the water from draining back to the tank but will allow you to...
