    good, bad, and ugly

All three machines have a good sized aftermarket base for farkles. All three machines are top notch. Personally, I would go with the bike that you feel most comfortable on. The ole mightly C14 wasn't around when I bought mine. I intially wanted the ST1300. ( I am a huge Honda fan) It turns out...

    Givi top box

Good luck with the V46. I had one for a year and couldn't keep it from falling apart. At the end, both reflector lenses were held on by duct tape. I now have a E52 and love it. I recently looked at the E55's. Nice piece, although I found them really flimsy.

    Check your tires!

I'm jumping on the scooter this afternoon and heading to PA. (seven hour cruise) I checked the pressures lastnight. The front was good, but the rear was down to 36 pounds.

    New Tire @ 4700 miles

Although very popular, I haven't tried a set of PR2's yet. I've always went with Pirelli's. I've got 4900 miles on my first set of Angel ST's. So far, so good.

    Upcoming Saddle Sore Ride

Absolutely. Thanks again for everyones support. I did well enough with this ride, I have the confidence that I could also kill the 1500 in 36. That will be next years mission.

    Upcoming Saddle Sore Ride

Yesterday, my trip was successful. I covered just under 1100 miles in 19 hours. :D

Next Thing to get for the bike

I have a Corbin Saddle. It is hard as concrete, but its very contoured to my "seat". There is no pressure on my tail bone. The seat causes me to slide forward and my "buddies" get squashed between me and the gas tank. Everyone swears by Russel seats. If my Corbin ever where's out, I'm gonna...

I have had my route planned out for three years and this Saturday I am finally going for it. :yahoo: The weather through out my route is forcasted between 65-80 degrees and mostly sunny. (Through Ohio, WVA, VA, PA and back to Central Ohio.)I will not find another Saturday with better...

What attracted me to the FJR?

While I was building up my street bike experience for two years on a 2003 Honda Silverwing, (600cc scooter)I was looking for a bigger bike to eventually graduate to. For two years, I threw my leg over every two wheeled machine imaginable. It came down to either an ST1300 or the FJR. Five years...

Useful opinions wanted on purchase decision

The guys at my dealer, pi$$ and moan when they have to work on my FJR. I finally had the chance to throw a leg over a 2010 Concours recently. I really like it. Although, the gauges look to be about 10 years out of date.

    So long!```

I just about pulled the trigger on a Goldwing this past January. The dealer and I could not agree on a price. BMW is now releasing the K1600 series bikes. I am going to wait for the opportunity to throw a leg over the BMW's before I make a decision on a new bike. My FJR will remain part of my fleet.

    Does your windshield wobble?

The windshield on mine has always had alot of play in it.

If you store your FJR outside how do you protect it?

Pet stores sell a spray that is made to keep cats from doing there business in areas not wanted. Try spraying a little on both wheels and the kickstand.

uh... that saddle seems really low

I hated the stock seat as well. Ive had a corbin saddle for 30,000 miles. Im six feet tall and I've never had an issue with the height. My problem is that seat is formed to where Im sliding forward into the gas tank and my nads get all bunched up. Its still more pleasant than the stocker on long...
