MY FJR IS KILLING ME !!!!

For me, the stock seat was horrible. Made my azz hurt bad within a short amount of time. Within a month, I changed it over to a corbin saddle.

So . . . . worth keeping and upgrading? Or get a new bike?

The reason I have an FJR is that I couldnt quite afford a goldwing at the time. My vote is that you have the money and desire, go for the big rig.

    Replacing exhaust

Glad to hear that your ok. Did you let loose on the driver with both barrels? Personally, I cant see spending the enormous amount of cash for just a few horsepower.

    pia 1100x vs hella ff50

I have the PIAA's. I cant compare the two, but I can tell you this; I was completely blown off my corbin when I first turned on those little, eye ball sized lights! They are VERY bright. Worth every nickle. I would imagine the Hella's would be just as effective.

Just how waterproof is a Zumo?

No problems here. You could probobly skip it across a pond and not have any issues with it.

What is the best way to clean boot marks on your side bags?

I gave up worrying about boot marks. (and the chips from a recent lay down. )

    Comfort tips needed

Im six ft and I start to cramp up about after an hour. I also found standing up on the pegs for 30 seconds to a minute can be quite the cure the stiffness. To prepare for a long ride, I drink about a gallon of water the day before, eat really healthy and I also pop three advil just before I set off.

    Which seat

Hmmmm....when I ordered mine, I was unaware they could modify it. From the looks of things, Ill probobly have to get it recovered here in the next few years, when I do, Ill ask em to put some stuffing in it.

    Which seat

I have a corbin saddle. Ive got roughly 15k miles of seat time on it. It fits me real nice and is way more comfy than the stock seat. One drawback though, the corbin is much like a horse saddle. There is very little padding. I find myself standing up on the pegs after about an hour or so.

    Honda GN4 engine oil

Yep, thats whats in the crankcase of my bike now. My local yamahdog dealer rarely has the correct oil on the shelf, so I travel across town to the Honda dealer for the oil.
