Starcom1 CAB-36A cable for Radar Detectors

Found a "minor" issue with my cable and my blackberry. I could listen to music all day long, but when I got a call and tried to answer it, I couldn't here them at all. I scratched my head for a few days but figured it out tonight. Seems the blackberry uses the resistance in the mic...

Starcom1 CAB-36A cable for Radar Detectors

Woohoo, I added 4 of these little transformers tonight. One on the GPS since it had just a tad of background noise. Used this one as my test and it worked perfectly. Then I hacked into my blackberry cord. Put one transformer on the left channel, one for the right, and one for the mic. It...

Starcom1 CAB-36A cable for Radar Detectors

hmmmm,,,, very good to know.... I might have to start hacking up some wires soon... I might even build one with a male on one end and female on the other end so I can use it on different devices that are pre-wired. Also I would guess using 3 of these on a cord that is used for two way...

    AVCC again

For the control pad I used the bracket that is to mount the servo, bent it a little different and had it coming from the bottom of the handlebar turning up and mounted the contol pad to it. Puts the buttons more on the bottom side of the horn just to the right of it. Works pretty good, but I'm...

Starcom1 CAB-36A cable for Radar Detectors

Fred W, I can relate to the cottage cable industry as I find myself doing so many things for others I sometimes run out of time for my own. As for my need for them, here is my issue. First off I run an "autocom", but my setup is similar. I run a GPS for turn by turn, but I also run the GPS on...

Starcom1 CAB-36A cable for Radar Detectors

Hmmm,,, I might have to hunt down a source for these little transformers.... I need to isolate a couple of leads from my blackberry and my gps. These are the mono versions correct? I would think you could do the stereo version as well by putting two of these in there, one on each channel. A...

yep, that one caught me a few years ago on my first try, but I was taking it easy anyway. I have heard or several accidents right there as northbound riders cross into southbound traffic.

I don't want to hijack, but I am curious what camera you used and where you had it mounted? Quality looks quite good.

Ahh yes, I have been on that, but it was a couple of years ago. Pretty scenic road, but it was rough when I was on it last. I'm down south farther actually, I live off of 151st south of Sapulpa. One near my house that is good for a quick 20 minute ride is Lonestar Road. It's good for a...

Yea, definitely too short of a set of twisties. I took a back road home yesterday and found another nice (short) stretch with some twisties. They have only resurfaced part of it, so the rest is pretty rough and slow going and houses are around, but it's still a pretty nice ride. Look up "Old...

Sounds like a nice ride for sure. We was able to get in a ride with our church group. We rode out to Yale and had dinner at a nice mexican place. Yours sounds like a nicer ride with more curves, and definitely Spavinah. I have been anxious to see how this bike does up there. I rode it...

Definitely won't be able to make this one, and that can't be too thrilling that you can't ride after the surgery for the rest of the season! I'll see how and when the trip up that way happens and see if we can meet up for a bit.

When are you planning this ride? I am planning to make it to Colorado this year as I have an uncle up there in Canon City that is in fairly bad health, but I'm not sure if it will be on the bike or not since it may end up being the whole family going.

Ahhh,, I've been on part of that... I love the black canyon run, and up a little north through the Grand Mesa. I would love to do some more of it, but doubt I will be able to do a ride like that anytime soon. Kids and funds kinda dictate the rides I can actually do at this point.

Hey that's cool,,,, I went to Spartan in 90-92 for communications electronics. Thought about the avionics part, but figured this would work out better, but don't know if that has really worked as planned or not. Been thinking about getting back into the electronics part more.

Yea, I work for Verizon Business, not to be confused with cell phones... We are on the telecom side of the house, (used to be MCI / MCI-Worldcom / WorldCom, etc.) and I do provisioning for them. I live in Sapulpa, so I get a 30 mile commute twice a day. What do you do at the airport?

haha,, that's funny.... I'm friends with a police motorcycle trainer from the OKC area and he can ride his big cruiser faster through the "Box" than most can ride the cones!!! hahaha When we go on rides, I think he makes most of the guys nervous just because of his status...

Well, I didn't get an up close look, but from across the intersection it looked pretty nice. I never would have guessed that many miles,,, and a slide down your driveway? Hit me up next time you are going for a ride and I'll see if I can make it.
