Yup, one division of Nordam is right across the street. What kinda ride ya got in mind? I have a BBQ dinner I have to be at saturday afternoon/evening, but otherwise I "think" i'm open.

Ahhh,, I've been on part of that... I love the black canyon run, and up a little north through the Grand Mesa. I would love to do some more of it, but doubt I will be able to do a ride like that anytime soon. Kids and funds kinda dictate the rides I can actually do at this point.

Actually the ride looks just a little different since Ive moved to Crested Butte.
I has a little tail on it now...LOL
Not sure timalan is going to make this one either, but would be great if both of you could cause it looks like I'm only going with a Roadglide this time.

KIds.... Funds.... I hear ya! I am short on the second this year. Don't know if I will even get out of OK and AR this year.....Ahhh,, I've been on part of that... When are you planning this ride? I am planning to make it to Colorado this year as I have an uncle up there in Canon City that is in fairly bad health, but I'm not sure if it will be on the bike or not since it may end up being the whole family going.

I'm doing that particular one either Saturday or Sunday. I usually do some sort of ride on my not on-call weekends.
However, this year I am going in for rotator cuff surgery on April 28th, so no riding for me after that this season.
I'm trying to get all a I can in before then.
But, that doesn't mean we can't get together and hoist one since your gonna be in the neighborhood...right?

Definitely won't be able to make this one, and that can't be too thrilling that you can't ride after the surgery for the rest of the season! :wacko: I'll see how and when the trip up that way happens and see if we can meet up for a bit.

looks like my harley rider has backed out.

Well I went and rode yesterday evening. I didn't get much notice though. I had completely written of the weekend and my wife says lets go for an evening ride. So we Went up to 88 and across the dam. took back roads to Foyil. Took 28 out to Langley and looked at the dam. Then took 82 over to 20 and rode spavinah and looked at that dam. Then down to Salina and home on 20. Just another dam FJR ride. If I had known I was going,,, I would have said. She surprised me after a full day of Painting and planting. I thought the day was over. Got home had a beer and was asleep before 9:30 trying to watch TV! Could have been all the Oak Pollen and the Benadryl and beer that did it.

Sounds like a nice ride for sure. We was able to get in a ride with our church group. We rode out to Yale and had dinner at a nice mexican place. Yours sounds like a nicer ride with more curves, and definitely Spavinah. I have been anxious to see how this bike does up there. I rode it several times on the shadow, but I have a sneaking feeling this bike is going to do a slight bit better than the shadow.

Yea, definitely too short of a set of twisties. I took a back road home yesterday and found another nice (short) stretch with some twisties. They have only resurfaced part of it, so the rest is pretty rough and slow going and houses are around, but it's still a pretty nice ride. Look up "Old North Road" in Sand Springs just east of hwy 97. The west end of it is really nice, but once you go east of 81st w ave, it turns pretty rough.
If I wasnt' tearing the forks apart and putting a new front tire on this weekend we could do a storm dodging tour of Spavinaw and down Scenic 10. Eat at that Pizza Place in Talequah (Sam and Ella's). That is an Excellent ride and eat route. And takes a good part of the day!

Spavinaw and down hwy 10 is definitly a nice ride. I haven't heard of coyote trail? Where is it at, I may know it, just not by name?
