Thanks for posting this... I had noticed the exact same things about the stock screen and was considering if replacing it would resolve the issues.

Perfectly fine... my right hand was the only problem... Carpal tunnel was horrible on that trip.. took more than a month to get the feeling back, but that's happened on all the bikes I've had on long trips.

I'm glad to hear other FJR pilots having cornering clearance issues. The photo of the blue FJR is worth a lot to me too, since I can now judge how close the pipes are to touching down if the pegs are already there. Does anyone have suggested suspension settings for a porky person like me...

I'm not a big gadget fan (at least not on the bike). I normally use a chatterbox and an IPod and thats about it. I could see where a PDB would be a must-have for many riders though. I agree with you on the stacking of the risers.... I think the length of the hose/cables etc would be iffy at...
