They aren't even close to the right format for military stickers....too square, but that is similar to what I made for my sticker...just no angle to the part with the hole, comes off straight so the plate sits parallel with my front tire.

I made an aluminium plate that is a rectangle the same size as the stickers but with a extra bump in one corner with a hole in it.....pulled out a reflector bolt on the front fork and stuck it behind the reflector....Works great, doesn't stick to the bike. Turns with the front wheel.....PM me...

How did it work? I've looked at them and never found one with decent camera resolution.....Canon has a small point and shoot with 12X optical zoom and 12 Mega Pixels (PowerShot SX200 IS) for under 300.00....just a reference.....zooms have gotten a lot better.

I would steer far clear of a VStrom if he want's something "Not too heavy" It's not too bad but it's so tall it's very topheavy. I'm 6'4" and couldn't flat foot at a stoplight on my VStrom 1000.....I had to lower it an inch but it was still really topheavy, I was always afraid of dropping it.

Not to mention Sheetz has kick ass MTOs (Made to Order subs) and Hot Dogs...(we used to call them death dogs) I miss them living in the south now.
