    tires

Throwing my penny into the pot. On the forums recommendation I went with the PPR2. derby shipped fast. Cost to put them on and balance was $150 (thought a little steep). Noticed that the stock Metzlers were steel belted and the PPRs not. Slightly discomforting but what the heck. Got 7100k out of...

    Bar Ends

Home depot in the US carries chromed metal, white and black plastic hole plugs that are used in furniture making. They look exactly like the chrome bar ends that are in the post above. I suggest that you go to a hardware store and see if you can find them. They only cost $2.98 a pair at HD.

    Rider Magazine

4 hours of riding? you've got to be kidding. This is barely 3. And don't even think of correcting me. I know no one rides less than 80. Heck, if the speedo wasn't there, we would all be at 100, the motor purrs the same at all speeds.

    Laughing at me

I have to reply to some of these..... I have about 1.5k of my miles on this bike. Here in snow county, thats about 1/2 the average for the season, if you don't ride when its less than 65. I put most of those miles on in March and May, then lost my job :( . So yes the bike sits lots now, I have...

    Laughing at me

So I figure I would give some of you southerners and high mileage guys a laugh. I have some miles on my bike, a 60 mile commute and I just love to ride. But I live in northern NY,way north it seems. Two days ago I decided to check out the local community college, FLCC, about 30 minutes away. Let...

Does the FJR1300 make a good daily commuter?

I think that these guys aren't being entirely truthful. I bought mine to commute after commuting on a KZ650 for two years for a 33 mile one way drive. This is in Rochester NY where the summers were wet, temps went from 35 to 65 in the same day, and the deer don't know what a car is. After...

Do you ride with your Hard Bags?

Just my two cents. I live in upstate NY. I've put 500 miles more on my bike than all of my friends, because of the weather. I always bring along the liners for my gear. Temps change from 42 to 75 in one day and then back again. Another FJR owner told me that the ride is entirely different...
