    Dropped It Today

Sorry to hear your spill. Glad you weren't hurt. As posted earlier, call Gary at University Motors. He'll square you away with good prices. And in the future when you see your wife, keep your eyes on the road and just do this... :beee: and be cool. :agent:

    XX'r Looking At An FJR

Oops! Ref outofstate.com that was the price of my Busa! (Rapidly switching forums this morning and half asleep at the switch!) :) If you have to go used, buy the one with less mileage.

    XX'r Looking At An FJR

Just buy new and bypass the potential headaches that a used FJR might bring. I paid $9,499 (10,069 OTD) for my brand new '05. www.buyoutofstate.com ;)

Just How Much Faster Is A Busa Than The Feejer?

Ah, comparing the FJR to the Busa. One of my favorite topics! When it comes to comparisons; I think bikes are very much like cages. There's mini-vans for families; Mustang's, Vet's and Viper's for people with a need-for-speed, and a whole slew of other various boxy sedans and SUV's ranging...

    FJR Vs R1

Ok, next comparison... Honda Rebel and Goldwing?! More senseable threads please! :haha:

Gas Prices, Two Wheel Withdrawl, Other Ramblings -

I own a 2004 Toyota Prius. Forget the 60 mpg, folks. You'll never see it. I drive mine 100 miles per day, with about 70% of that being highway (65-70mph). Mine averages between 48 and 51 mpg, which still ain't bad. If you're very, very smooth and careful with the gas pedal you may see...

    Hayabusy

FJRON - Yep, I agree with ya. The Busa is not a pure sport bike. Like you, I enjoy sitting "in", not on, the Busa. And I think a lot of the Busa bulk is necessary to maintain stability at higher speeds. It's definitely a stable ride. I've never ridden a 1K sport bike, but I've sat on...

    Hayabusy

FJR and Hayabusa - redundant? Or a replacement for a FJR?! No way! I own both (both '05's). The Busa weighes less and feels much less bulky. The FJR feels like a battle-tank in comparison, especially with the hard bags snapped on, and its up-right riding position. Riding my Busa feels like...

    Own A Fjr And Hayabusa?

FJRmogul - State Farm ran me $576 annually for my Busa. I received several very high quotes. For example; Progressive quoted me $2,472! I'm crazy about the Busa, but there was no way in hell I was going to pay those high rates! Evidently there's a lot of people that crash their Busa's (or...

    Post Up, Biatches!!

'05 Hayabusa (keeps my FJR company)... :D ... wonder how you post a picture here?

    Own A Fjr And Hayabusa?

The motorcycle gods smiled on me today and I was finally able to take my '05 Busa out for a ride. Didn't have to work, registration, taxes, tag issues all complete... Insurance in place (thank you State Farm!), and the weather was good. I fired the beast up, odometer reading "0" - and off I go...

    Motorcycle Magazines

Consider a high-tech approach. Use a scanner to scan in anything of interest. Save off as a file, then toss the mag. If you take a few seconds to properly catalog the stuff, it won't be hard to find, and you can store a ton of saved information on a CD or DVD.

    Own A Fjr And Hayabusa?

Thanks for all the input. According to the shipping company my '05 Busa is showing up today around 2. I took the day off to introduce the new addition to the family to my FJR. I'll post some pictures later this week, after I get it built. GalaxyBlue - That's exactly what I'm wondering about...

    Yamaha Windshield Nuts

throttlejockeyt - where did you find you could purchase the FJR out of state? I recently did that with another bike, but wasn't aware anyone was doing it on the FJR. Bought mine from a dealer, unfortunately they wouldn't budge on the price either. I say, it's time to fight back! :) I can...

Hey Guys, Need A Little Help Here....

fjrhawk - I feel your pain. :) No, after what I've been going through lately, I don't think it ever ends. There's just too many excellent bikes to select from now-a-days. In my case I wanted a sporty bike, but not necessarily the uncomfortable position of a 1-liter GSXR or R1, and at the...

    Own A Fjr And Hayabusa?

Highlander - Thanks, the Busa bug bit me hard. After a few months I'll write a comparison between the two. I'm looking forward to owning a touring bike and a large displacement sport bike. I looked hard at the R1, the GSXR-1K, and a few others, but I just couldn't bring myself to buy a 1...

    The Little Woman's New Rig

Nice! My wife recently bought a Kaw Z750S and had it lowered 2" to fit her. It's a nice little standard scoot. Interesting switch considering her last bike was a Kaw 175cc trail bike, eh? :)

    Own A Fjr And Hayabusa?

I picked up a 2005 FJR-ABS last March. It's a great bike and I'm having a ball with it. I've added several farkles. For some reason it arrived at the dealer without sidebags, and they just showed up recently. I also recently installed the Yamaha rear storage box too. Once all the storage...
