Magnum Blasters do not require plastic surgery on either Gen I or II bikes, and sound like a whole herd bring run over. The Gen II has indentations that nicely accommodate the Magnums, Gen I you just need to bend everything to fit. :)

Throttlemeister looks great, but I don't think it does a thing for vibration.

My 2010 came with a clunk as well, turned out to be loose caliper bolts from the incompetent dealer set up. One bolt fell out, the other three were finger tight.

I'm only just learning the differences. Back then we only had to worry about the dreaded ticking disease, or the TPS failing and dropping you in the street unceremoniously, which mine did twice before I received the notice. Going to go ride her now for the first times since the bloody brakes...

Ha! Should have thought of that. Incidentally, you are quite correct about the air in the tires, 3-4 lbs low front to rear, but I pretty much expected that. The loose calipers not so much, the b*s*a*ds. Sad, I wanted to trust this dealer.

I just took delivery of a new 2010 FJR and the windshield struggles and shakes its way through each cycle up or down. Having owned a 2005 for about 6 years I'm sure this isn't kosher behavior. My selling dealer says yeah they all do that, but then he says that about everything-like the sticky...

I have similar damage, including the mirror bracket. I've got all the tupperware stripped off for repairs and paint; got any tips on the order of replacement? Or anything else related for that matter. Frankly, I'm scared of that bucket full of plastic fasteners.
