Audiovox Cruise might go on the weekend

And two other things to look out for are the 2 spacers that the fuel rail screws go through. Nothing holds the spacers in place once the rail is removed and it's easy for them to go missing.

Audiovox Cruise might go on the weekend

The usual response to this kind of question would be to search the forum, but given that I think installing the Audiovox cruise is one of the best Farkles I've done to the bike, I'll have mercy and provide a link to the instructions that made it so easy for me...

    '06+ Sargent Seat Arrived (Pics)

Nice Rumble, Given that we're in the same general area, I wonder if it would be possible to arrange a meeting so my friend and I could see the Sargent seat in person? Hopefully it stops snowing long enough so that maybe we could ride the bikes and meet at a mutually beneficial location, like...

    '06+ Sargent Seat Arrived (Pics)

I'm anxious to hear what you think about the seat. Myself and a fellow FJR rider are on the verge of placing an order, but have questions/concerns over which seat material to get. As you said, winter just doesn't want to move out of New England - based on our experiences with another seat and...

How are heated grips typically wired?

The warmnsafe site provides good information and wiring diagrams. As has been stated, you need to know what the original heaters were designed for. I wasn't able to identify/find the factory heated grip wiring harness and installed a Dual Star and Heat-troller system standalone, which I think...

    New Sargent Seat

How do you find the seat material to be in terms of being slippery or grippy? How would you compare it to the stock seat material? Thanks, Dan

    Slippery Seat

Yes, it is a similar problem, and temperature may be a factor, but the difference is vinyl vs. leather. I would think that leather could be treated to soften it and improve grip but we haven't thought of anything to do the same to vinyl. The only idea I've had is to (very) slightly abraid the...

    Slippery Seat

There doesn't seem to be an issue with the contour, but it is possible. It really seems like the vinyl is hard - if you run your hand over the surface, there's almost no friction at all. I suppose the seating area could be dished out more and that would help from sliding forward, but it still...

    Slippery Seat

A friend has just received a Rick Mayer seat for his 2006 FJR, covered in the basket weave material and we both have found it to be very slippery. Has any one else noticed this, or have an opinion? It's slippery to the point of being dangerous - any kind of deceleration or braking causes the...

    First Ride in Snowy NH

Join the frozen north club. This has been a great year to ride in New England - I got to rode to work January 4-5! Who said Global Warming is a bad thing! I didn't even bother registering the sleds this year. Go ahead and install heated grips and get a good pair of insulated riding pants. Dan

    Hippo Hands

I've been using a pair of bar-muffs made for a snowmobile. I agree, they are great. The ones I have (Arctic Cat) hold their shape well and have a fairly ridgid piping oround the opening which makes it easy to get my hands in and out. Dan
