    2016 Tour of Honor

I recently received an e-mail with a tracking number stating that the Tour of Honor had sent me something in the mail. I have since realized that it was sent to an old mailing address that Paypal still had on record. Did anyone else receive the envelope or package? Was it the rally flag?

When does registration open for the 2017 Iron Butt Rally?

    >> One of the better moments in the '15 was riding with you from Teton to Yellowstone and bagging Old Faithful. Yep, we could not have timed that any better. >> You apply for the '17 ? Yep.

About time you followed through with your idle threats....

    Best Place To Retire Early

This thread caught my attention since I am retiring from the Navy in about three years. I am drawn to the idea of being able to ride year round, and am considering eastern Tennessee. I know there is no state income tax. Haven't looked at the impacts of sales tax and property tax. Close...

Split: Most miles in 24 hours?

Every year the Colorado Freewheelers do an organized 1000-N-24 ride and it was definitely the most challenging Saddle Sore I've ever ridden. The year I rode it the route included the Million Dollar Highway, the Highway of Legends, and Independence Pass.

    2016 Big Money Rally - It's on!

Uncle Hud's advice has touched on it, but one point is worth bringing up again. If I could give a newbie any advice, look at, and understand why the photos on Page 4 of the bonus listing are so good. I am one of the scorers, and the top issue I see year after year from new riders is that they...

Stagecoach 2015 -- Last Ride of the Year

I am not sure if I'll get to the area in time, but maybe. I see a location, but not a time.

Stagecoach 2015 -- Last Ride of the Year

I'll be there as well. Last time I went was two years ago and if I remember correctly, 101stpathfinder spent five minutes explaining to me why he WASN'T going to sign up for a 2nd IBR.... :-)

    IBA Mile Eater

Yes, Ocean City to San Francisco. Keeping the pace on the east coast is definitely more challenging than on the west coast. I don't know why, but this is the one CC I've always wanted to ride. There are several points where US-50 combines with an interstate. The final stretch from Sacramento...

    IBA Mile Eater

Sounds like we're all going to be criss-crossing the nation about the same time. I am going to attempt the Coast to Coast on US-50 (east to west, 72 hours for Gold) at the end of June, and then vacation out west until Warchild's Battle Front rally later in July.

    2016 Big Money Rally - It's on!

This will be my fourth. Fun motivation to get your ass on the bike between January and May.

FJRForum Official 2015 Iron Butt Rally Tracking/Analysis thread

That is Gregg. He had just messed up his first attempt at the odo check and was explaining to me what lane to be in at the I-25/I-40 interchange when coming back. I just nodded my head and then followed him blindly, assuming that someone who just messed it up once HAD to get it right the...

Organizing my photos from the rally. Myself and another FJR about to begin the odo check: By the way, completely jealous of his mirrors as I did nothing but look at my elbows for the entire rally....

LD Comfort Undergarments - One mans opinion OR My ass appreciates this magic

I am extremely satisfied with my LD Comforts bottom and tops, but the one piece I truly cannot ride without is the LD Comfort helmet liner.

That is funny. If you leave right now, you can get to Old Faithful within 10 minutes of its scheduled eruption Since I am moving, I just rode my bike from Denver to Washington D.C. last weekend, all on interstates. It felt like the exact opposite of the IBR....

FJRForum Official 2015 Iron Butt Rally Tracking/Analysis thread

First, I am unwilling to wear gear that has zip in waterproof liners, so that quickly narrows down the available brands. Is Klim worth the money? It is to me. I have close to 50k miles of riding in Klim jacket and pants (Latitude and Badlands Pro jackets, only Latitude pants), in all weather...

I am glad to see that everyone enjoyed following along with the madness. Everyone was lucky to have the IBR vets in the room adding some context to what you are following. Some of what they were surmising was even true This was my second IBR, the first one being in 2013, ridden on a BMW...

The poster is up which gives a clue as to this year's theme. Looks like the rally will be loaded with National Parks... Can't wait to ride through Yellowstone at 2 pm on July 4th weekend
