I use a product called Bike Brute and it works very nicely. Spray in and rinse. To rinse I use one of those pump up weed sprayers filled with warm water. Water only goes where I want it and its not at a high pressure. To dry I use a microfiber towel and a spin around the block.

A tip I got off the forum concerning putting the bag back on..... With your hand that is not turning the key in the lock, hold the plastic tab down (the one the lock is secured to) when turning the key. This will keep you from either wrecking your key (twisting it into a pretzel) or not...
