Doggie Down .. Cdog sez.. I fell of the bike!! ARF!!

Auburn FJR gave good advice. I would add this: I don't know how UDOT is orgainized but I would expect a District Office responsible for this particular section of roadway. You write them a letter complaining about the hazard and include your photos on a CD. It should work its way to the...

Uh Oh - Karen just perked up when I said "Ice Cream"! [if I say "treat" then the dogs get all excited. You really have to watch what you say in this household!] Okay - 0930 at Mel's. :clapping:

Doggie Down .. Cdog sez.. I fell of the bike!! ARF!!

Robin - I am glad you are both OK. Frankly, after observing the road conditions, there was nothing you could do. It may as well been ice. You should complain to the State Dept. of Transportation ( I am assuming it is a State highway). There are federal pavement standards for "wet coefficient...

Got me a ticker at 24K miles

Rich -- this is actually good news. You get a free top overhaul and avoid the expensive valve inspection. ZAc has had lots of practice performing this repair [including mine] so you have an experienced "doctor" doing the surgery. Just pay closer attention to your oil usage on the CFR trip...

    Y.E.S., 20W40, and Legal Issues

My YES paid for itself 4 times over. It is especially worthwhile when you put a lot of miles on your bike. If you put over 20,000 miles a year on your bike like I do it gives you a 5 year/100,000 warranty. Kinda hard to beat for 400 smackers don't ya think?

    Phukkin' Harley Dudes

The more harleys encountered on a ride the more fun it is. They make great slalom gates! :red_bandana: Now if I can just teach my dog to lift his leg as we roll by . . . .

    Newest Aft defense system installed

I like it! I recommend Eau de skunke' be sprayed. Obviously it would only be used in self defense [ie a car sniffing your butt -- like my lab did to a skunk -- once . . . ] and it is a natural substance so it is completely environmental. No worries! Anybody know any friendly skunks willing...

Highway 36 and down the coast!!!!!! May 10-11-12

An unanticipated and unplanned work problem has reared its ugly head. I am afraid I must head down in the opposite direction to Bishop instead. On the brighter side, the ride to Bishop is awesome this time of year as well. I was really looking forward to riding with Sir Richard...

    ATTENTION CALIFORNIA RIDERS

One of our blessed environmental wackos, Senator Fran Pavley of Beverly Hills, has intorduced leglislation to require any motorcycles (year models 2000 or newer) to go through a smog check every two years. Just what we need -- more government pain in the ass hassles and more fees. Google...
