Up Hwy 88 and back down Hwy 4 on Sat June 13th

Christy and I don't remember what it feels like to ride together so we are heading up the hill on Sat June 13th. Breakfast at Mels in Jackson at 8:30 9:30 for a hopeful departure at 9:30 10:30 so we can bump into Cayrt in Hope Valley around 11:00. All are welcome to join.

I think a few of the usual instigators are going to CFO and are reluctant to take the edge off their finely tuned machines.So...

I'll throw out June 13th as a proposed date to sight see over Hwy 88 to Hwy 89 grab some lunch in Markleeville, gas at Topaz and come back Hwy 4.

Christy and I haven't had the FJR out as a couple in a looong time so we need to work the rust out (read calm pace). Plus I have a new camera/lens combo I want to play with so I plan on making frequent stops. If I get any takers I'll post up in a new thread.

I think Hope Valley (Hwy 88/Hwy 89-Luther Pass intersection) should be about 11:00am if we plan to eat in Marleeville. If I don't get any takers who want to meet for a little breakfast in Jackson first that means I would leave my house at 9:30. If we leave from Jackson after breakfast it will be kickstands up at 9:30 as well.

Gotta work out the logistics needed:

1) to lay in a large enough supply of duct tape (to secure the house apes - they're getting stronger and wigglier) and

2) find the proper bribe to still have a wife after leaving her alone with said house apes for most of a day...

Hope I can do this one. Sounds like fun, but still too early to commit.

Well can't make it...I'm taking my drivers school test for the DMV ..been riding for 3 years now without anything but a learners permit :headbonk: and wife said get it done or she's not coming along...Stupid Nv ..you can't ride without another rider accompanying you and you can't ride on and state roads! Can't even leave my driveway...so F**em I'v been riding where I want..so after the 13th I legal!'v

Sorry you can't make it but getting blessed to ride at will by the State is a good thing. You will then have the latitude to do stupid crap and just get fined for it. :glare: Getting the all important Wife Endorsement is the one you should be nervous about, it can be pulled for non-vehicular antics at will.

Since we are not trying to meet up with Cayrt we can sleep in a little longer if we want now. Any Innie's care to bump our Mels start time to 10:30? Then we could just grab something to eat in say Arnold on the way back down the hill.
