Glad your OK.. I've had this happen before and parted the bike. It was a PIA..but it was the best way to recover the most money. If you don't want to go thru the trouble of parting..I'd bet the 2K number for the bike is about right. You may get more if you can find someone who needs the...

OK..took a ride...ambient temp in the 70's. Left side is a definate improvement... I can really tell because the right leg is noticably hotter. I would give this mod a solid "B". Good improvement over stock. Now to do the right side.

I just did the left side fix. The right, I believe, you would just use closed cell foam. Should be riding this evening and will know more about how the left side worked for me.

I did cromiets heat fix today. Pretty easy process. Only take about an hour. Rode it..but fairly chilly today.. so not sure of the degree (no pun intended) of improvement. It seems better but probably not as much as expected. Will report more when it warms up. I also put a heat shield...

The riding position takes some getting used to. :rolleyes: I don't think its something I would have bought as a first bike..it must be an aquired taste. The guy put the entire exhaust on it..not just the pipe. Don't know what it does but it looks and sounds cool..<smile> After...

Thanks for the compliments. Might end up getting a different seat... :unsure: But..the FJR has modified seat and the better bike to use on longer trips. Wifey and I are leaving on an overnight trip tomorrow on the FJR. Would NEVER try that on the R6.
