finally done.

on my old goldwing (GL1000) i removed the center stand cut 3/4" out of the middle and welded it back together. made the bike very easy to get on the stand, but didn't lift the wheel very far off the ground.

spray paint. hair spray is ok unless you ride in a lot of rain. water will dissolve it and make the grip loose until it dries out again.

finished making mount stand offs. stainless bar taped M8-1.25 on one end and 5/16-18 on the other with M8-1.25 stainless stud inserted stand offs installed back one shorter to try to get trunk level with ground instead of tipped forward like stock. i don't know how this will look in use but...
