    Clutch cable squeak

I found that lubing the clutch pivot would not last a New England riding season without having to be done again. I bought some micro needle bearings and reamed out the lever a little and installed them so they run on the original bolt. Haven"t had to lube it for a few years. No, it did not...

    time for a battery?

I seem to remember the Gen 1"s will run 14 to 14.1 volts. But my gen 2 (06) never ran more than 13.9, and is usually around 13.5 to 13.8 over the road. And with heated gear it drops to 12.8 or 12.9. Never seems to kill the battery though. I was able to raise the datel reading .2 volts by...

Where's the photo of Dwayne in the creek?

Well, history has proven that no EOM is complete without water and a goat trail, so to complete our experience............. Me, Mr. Bill, f Huge fun for sure.

    home safe and sound

Home safe last night. 950 miles in 15 hours. Awesome ride Saturday with LTR, Scoops, Jim and Mr. Bill. Much thanks to the organizers. Another great event. Oh and Chris, righty tighty, lefty loosey, on those battery terminals. :winksmiley:

    2011 EOM Registration is open!

I have new tires, I don't know if I have good tires, they are Angels, never tried them. I can't wait to get going. Except for a Chowda ride with the wife for a few days I haven't been anywhere. I miss those 4 AM K.S.U. rides that Bill is famous for. (Not)

I am 1 up and would like to slap down in a day. 08FJR4ME, I think you have to come right by Stafford springs CT on I 84 where I am at. Also if we can get Mr. Bill to join us that would be good. I'll go rattle his cage and see what he is up to. Bob

    Question on Russell seats

Even slid forward I can only touch on tiptoes with mine. But I just did over 6K miles in 10 days with no soreness at all. Factory seat was painfull after two hours. You'll get used to it. Plus it will settle a little making it somewhat easier. Then you'll love it.

    Impressions after 900 mile trip.

Keeping the windshield down puts air on your chest relieving the pressure on your hands.

Let your FJR BREATHE!! Open up the Intake!!

K&N Filters are from the Devil. Their filtration is inadequate, no power gains in this application and they ooze oil into the throttle bores causing throttle binding. ` Read in some of the Ford Diesel sites. Many stories of "Dusted" engines and turbos from using K&N filters. I would never buy...

    WTF is wrong with Verizon??

I have that same problem with Verizon wireless. I get voice mail that is from 3 or 4 days ago. Sometimes longer. It happens about 75% of the time. How can that be? Where do these messages go for several days? And what triggers the notification to my phone days later? Text works OK.

Do I have an impending spider problem?

Unfortunately the spider failures are not related to mileage. It is more a function of time, or maybe not even that. They act up at will. My S4 acted up at 3 years and 30K, but that means nothing. It can happen any time. We will continue to see posts about these failures until everyone gets...

My kid has natural motorcycle instincts...

Dude that was cruel. You put him on a Moped! He will hate that footage someday just as much as the pics of him nekid in the bathtub. But never the less it is a start. Next lesson, Red Lines and Rev Limiters.

    WTF is wrong with Verizon??

They are all that way. I called AT&T because the phone was all static and dropping calls. We'll be there in a week. "Is that the best you can do?" Yeah. A week later a guy shows up, checks the line, and says yup, it's all static. This has to handled by a line man. One should be here in...

New member - oil change question

Here is something you may want to consider. The engine oil drain plug is P/N 90340-14132-00 and sells for $3.63. The rear drive oil drain plug is P/N 90340-14004-00 and sells for $6.26. Although both plugs are the same size and interchangeable, the rear drive oil plug has a magnetic insert to...
