    2003 Fork Legs

I don't remeber my fork legs being painted on my 03. I thought they were aluminum.

NAFO web site - Registration Open Until July 20th

Me too. I waited, because, I recently found out my mom has Ovarian Cancer. I may be going to Houston for a while but I'm sure I'll make it back in time to go to NAFO. Glenn

    OEM Yamaha heated grips

I've got the grip puppies over heated grips. They still get fairly warm, but not quite as much as without.

    Vote for my Windscreen

Bid D, if you are over six feet, go +4 on any screen you get if you want quiet, still air.

    Finally Finished. Carbon Fiber panels.

Yeah I shipped my fender to someone 3 years ago but never heard back. They were going to get geelong to make a CF fender. I was hoping I'd get one free for use of the fender. Oh well. I told you these guys would be all over this. LOL Glenn

    North Jersey Windscreen Testing

If you are 6 ft, go with a sheild that id 4 inches taller than std. Often refered to +4. If you are over 6'2 go with a +6. This will get you in a still pocket of air. I don't think the brand makes as much difference as the height.

    Windshield question again

Whatever you get make sure its AT LEAST 4 inches taller than stock, if you want maximum wind protection. I'm 6'3" with a 35 inch inseam. I have a Cal Sci +4 +4 and if I sit up real straight I get a touch of wind noise/Buffeting. Its barely perceptible but its there. I think if it was 1 inch...

    Audiovox Cruise Control-Problem Solved?

Timalan You are welcome to use my garage to help with anyone who wants to install the cruise. I'm 5 miles due west of the FAA in OKC. I might be interested in doing my 07 if I had help. But there is no way I would tackle that by myself. Glenn

    Final Drive Sanity Check

Do you fill up on the side stand or center stand? I've always done it on the center stand. I can't remember what the manual says.

    Any Alternative to Corbin Smuggler?

I had the elite tail bag on my 03 and it worked real well. I'll likely get another before NAFO

    In the Shop

I'm just hoping that loosening the wires coming out of the ignition will keep that little problem from happening.

With great regret I am hanging up my boots

Feejer, I respect your decision immensely. I had similar thoughts after my last little adventure into the weeds. I stayed off for 3 years and the wife could tell I was miserable so she bought me another bike. But........... I hope I can leave on my terms when the time comes. Enjoy. Glenn

    Tie Down Points for Trailering

When I've trailered a bike I loop the soft ties aound the fork leg, just above the lower triple clamp. This takes care of most of the pressure compressing the forks. I then use a canyon dancer barely snug, more for stability. I've never had a problem. As already mentioned, don't use alot of...

    Helmet Lock on the 08'

There is no factory helmet lock, but there are several options aftermarket. Try googling helmet lock, liscence plate frame. Also you can get a thin aluminum strip, drill a hole close to 1 end screw that end to one of the bolts in the subframe between the rider and passenger seat. Benit up to...
