    lifetime fitness parking lot

I've seen the local FJR owners....they're not the fitness kind. There must've been a Hooters across the street! :D

Q4 Meeting of the minds :)

I've been to one Cheeseburger in Paradise and it was ok. Good call. I just learned that my wife already booked me for something on the 14th...so my long ride idea is out that weekend and I'll probably be able to make it to Downer's Grove on Saturday.

    Friend considering a motorcycle

I'd ride with Tyler.....she's one of the few left on this forum without a crash, deer strike, or drop club icon! ;)

    Pigs have birthdays?????

Great. But what's he gonna do with a bag of tampons? Have a happy birthday. Treat yourself to something nice ... like watching this weekend's Cops marathon on True TV!

Q4 Meeting of the minds :)

Wow. Ironic you say this given Alex' post in this thread! :D

    Friend considering a motorcycle

Sounds to me like Alex is offering free rides to all guys on his very clean bike. ;)

    Friend considering a motorcycle

Give the guy a ride.....but if you sense something stiff in the area of the seat behind you, STOP immediately! :feminist_en: Then again, your friend's gonna have to get off eventually. ;) (holy crap ... I think I finally found the perfect post to use that emoticon!)

Audi, Subaru, BMW, Infiniti, or Lexus?

I agree. You'd really miss out not to at least give a Volvo a look. After all, you said safety is a factor! I have a similar company car (but it's the Chrysler 300) and it's just ok. I wouldn't buy a 300 or a Charger unless it was at a fire-sale price. There's nothing bad about it ... in...

Q4 Meeting of the minds :)

My favorite billboard every was for Hooters and was posted for a brief time on the I-90 tollway near Elk Grove Village. It read: "Hooters. Liquor in Schaumburg. Poker in Vegas." (with, of course, the obligatory Hooters girl picture) :chickawow: Hooters regularly rotates art for that...

Is there a lawyer in the house

Radman makes a good point but, Alex, what would the Russian mafia do in your situation? :D

Is there a lawyer in the house

HOA's.... I love them and I hate them. I would pull out my copy of the HOA by-laws, review them line-by-line, and individually contact the board members. My bet is that there is no prioritization of "visible" versus "non-visible" grass or landscaping in the by-laws and, as such, your issue...

    OK Midwesterners--Who Rode Today

My hat's off to you .... real men don't need heated gear. :clapping: (with that said, me ... not being a real man ... use heated gear religiously) It's times like these when I'm glad that I have a Gen 1 with "heat issues." ;)

    Power options for our bike

Have you tried a cell-phone power source into a Cigarette Style adapter and into a Powerlet? That's what I use sometimes to recharge my phone and it works fine.

    Chicago to International Falls

Nice report on a ride that I've been wanting to take. It just shot up a few spots on the destination list. And this is great....

    wheatonFJR goes down!

If that's the case, then that disqualifies many of us. ;) Great news in the medical report. :clapping: Brave question to ask your wife and daughter. I give you credit for welcoming their response ... and I was pleasantly surprised to hear what they said.

Thanks for the report. I can understand and agree with everything you wrote ...even a-holes in Escalades! ;)

    Ohio Riders

I guess I should've checked this thread before passing thru SE Ohio this past weekend. <_< It had been 4 years since I last rode in the area and I forgot how great the roads were. Without question, one of the best concentration of great roads and scenery in the U.S.! :clapping...

    OK Midwesterners--Who Rode Today

Yep, when this thread returns, you know the enjoyment of daily riding is fast coming to an end. <_< I rode before sunrise on Friday morning in 40 degree temps and faced that lovely Chicago rush hour commuter traffic. No problems there .... it was the Indiana farmlands that were truly...

    wheatonFJR goes down!

Mark, I was very glad to hear that you walked away. Funny thing is that, as I was riding SE Ohio roads this past weekend, I was thinking about you and hoping I will be able to attend next year's Ramble. Get yourself and the bike fixed so that you can Ramble On in 2009! :clapping: Get to...
