Yikes! I'm a Giger fan and I think you may have gone overboard. Maybe the FJR is just not the right "canvas" for such busy artwork. Or maybe painting all of the panels is just too much. Still, I'll withhold judgement until better photos are posted. Do you dare post how much you paid for...

If it's just you that is moving (and not the seat), then the issue may just be a matter of break in. I recall my Russell being quite slippery when I first used it. I can't imagine riding without it now, though.

While initially sounding good, the parking situation and the food & alcohol issues are making the cabins sound less appealing. Besides, the reservation system and space per cabin are probably making it more difficult than it needs to be....especially when the inevitable last-minute cancellation...

I'm running MS Office Word 2007 and there are a variety of newsletter formats available for free automatic download from Microsoft. For example, I just downloaded a slick-looking 6 page newsletter with 2 columns per page and was able to simply save it as a PDF. Don't know if you're running...
