If you haven't done it before, Route 209 (off 84) at delaware water gap (Google Maps does OK). Nice ride, good scenery, places to stop, pray for no 18 wheelers.It'll be a little jog up after coming off long island though... After that, you could do I80 West to I81 South, then to Harrisburgh...

Yeah, this is a sweet machine for distance rides. If you have done any distance on a cruiser type of machine you won't believe how much better the FJR is (& much more fun too)...

Ride to Trader Joe's. Pick up Sunflower seeds, almonds, peanuts, raisins, pistachios and walnuts (all unsalted except for the sunflower seeds). Mix ratio os 2-2-2-1-1- .5. Stick in some small freezer bags, keeps for the length of the trip, keeps hunger away until I'm ready for a real meal...

So far, ABS on my '05 has saved my butt twice. I didn't crash, didn't check out the high speed operation of my sliders, didn't have to experience first hand if my Kilimanjaro jacket pads are sufficient, etc etc

A couple of my non-riding friends called me lard butt, iron trousers, buns of lead, lead buns, but the best was iron ***, sorta liked that one...

Didn't Yamaha de-tune the '06 so it would put out less heat ? ('05 owner of course...)
