    Dancin in the Dark

Damn, you were lucky not to get hit by a cager. This is one of the reasons why I have my aux lights totally separate from the low/main beam circuit on another switch. Even though I do carry spare fuses, duh me for not carrying the tools to get at the fuse panel. After reading your post (I ride...

    "TWIST" get's high-sided...

Hey Duff, Sorry to learn of your "get off". Hope you are OK though? Looks like a Canon camera, boy that sucks because it looks like an EOS? Good to know that the gear held up with little damage to your body. Hope you can get the Feejer up and running again soon. Take care, Taff.

    Concours 14 Recall

Kudos to Kawa. I am so please to say that I am glad I bought a Feejer. Last year I was actually intending to buy a new 14, but decided against the purchase as it was "early days" in it's generation and build quality was (IMHO) not nearly on a par with the FJR :yahoo: How much will this...

Nice Video, tought that you would like to see it !

Amazing video. I agree with the comments regarding the general public (cagers etc) lumping us in the same bracket as (squids if you like)! For me I have no problem if they can practice in the safety of a drag racing area, but not on public roads. Even for my, cough cough, tender age of 49...

    TBS Gen 11 Bikes

Jeff, Thats what I think too! The only other reason I can think of is also a possibility that some complaints have surfaced from customers who may have had some throttle response issues or vibrations in the pegs etc, since the introduction of the Gen 11 bikes.

    TBS Gen 11 Bikes

Hi peeps, When I bought "Cherry" I decided to purchase pre-paid servicing (got a killer deal) up to the 12,000 mile interval. Today I reached 12,539 miles, so off we go to get the service completed at my dealer. The head tech mentioned that he had just completed another course at Yamaha with...

R.I.P. Jagermeister (Not FJR Board Member)

Sorry to hear of your loss, I know how you feel as I lost my little dog last year. Mans best friend is a tough order to fill when they go to that "great doogie heaven" in the sky. Take care,

    What to do...

Alex, This guy seems to be a scammer. You have "gone the extra mile" from what I have read, so just put this behind you. If you had numerous complaints then, as suggested in another reply, I would worry about my reputation. I had a similar problem when buying off a private party (never...

    Rain Riding

Hi there, I ride almost all winter (and summer) in all sorts of conditions, so I may be able to shed some light on your problems. Firstly, I am also a "glass" wearer, so being able to see clearly is a high safety need. My winter helmet is an Arai Quantum with a fog city photochromatic insert...

    barb & I had a long day....

Sorry to hear about the difficult year you have had, seems 2007 was a strange year for many of us! I will be thinking about you all and sending you my prayers.

    PNWFO: Group Ride to NAFO

If I can get the time off work I would be able to join you all. Soft beds along with a Captain Morgan (or two or three, na make it the dirty dozen) and some well spent dollar bills would be bliss. Oh, BTW so that you know (just in case) I have been known to take a little ride from near the...

    Gen 11 Stator voltage output.

Thanks for the link, I will take a look see :yahoo:

    Gen 11 Stator voltage output.

Thanks for that. Do you know if the max output from the stator is at or around 4000 RPM?

    Gen 11 Stator voltage output.

Hi peeps, Could any of the electrical gurus on this forum please advise me at what minimum RPM will the stator charge the battery. I was informed that around 4000 RPM, the stator will be at maximum output for battery charging on Gen 11 bikes, hence my question about minimum RPM values. Thanks...

    Update on Cherry

Cherry is alive and kicking now, I wish I could say the same thing regarding the owner! Checked the torque value on the stator cover bolts, fitted the fairing, spray painted the center stand, and checked the torque on the 3 bolts that hold the "T" brace under the tank. I had decided to check...

Crash Protector for the stator/generator cover.

Thanks for taking the trouble in providing this information. I will certainly check it out.

    Update on Cherry

Thats so funny, I didn't think about Cherry being a "monster" :yahoo:

Crash Protector for the stator/generator cover.

Hi Mark, Do you think that the CF would be a good application such as my get off last Sunday when the stator cover was all banged up? Any idea as to who is best to buy these CF protectors from? TIA, Ride safe. Thanks for that.

    Update on Cherry

Got the parts this afternoon, new stator cover etc etc. Decided not to un-plug the harness that runs to the rear of the bike for the stator (too lazy). Got the new cover fitted tonight, all snug but haven't checked the torque values, I will do that in the morning. Good news is that the noise...

Slip sliding away, oh slip slip slippy, add me to the crash club!

I think you are correct with regard to the bike thermometer, however my XM weather (Seatac airport close by) almost showed the same current temp. How often the XM weather actual is updated I really don;t know as there is no date with reference to the generated weather data. I really did "pop...
