    Pilot Road 2 - who's got 'em?

Toe, Here are two of the back showing the profile/curvature. Since 99.5% of my riding is straight up and down, there is a little bit of squaring happening, but nothing like the stock Z6's. At this point, the tires have 3,500 miles on them.

    Florida...

Apology accepted. Wife and I did 200 miles of riding yesterday down toward Crystal River on the west coast replete with beer-boiled shrimp, blackened grouper, no cold weather gear, pelicans, deer, eagles, cranes, incredible sun set, etc. Everyone should be as lucky.

    TBS screw travel

Thanks Jestal. I'll try option #2.

    Pilot Road 2 - who's got 'em?

I live in FL, so my definition of "twisties" includes traffic circles/roundabouts. However, in the few sweepers I get to enjoy, I would say that there is no comparison: the PR2 is rock-solid is a good kind of sticky way that I never experienced on the Z6. I think part of that is a result of...

    Rain Riding

1b. On rain and fog days, I use a helmet with a Fog City Hyperoptics insert on the inside of the face shield (see this comparison https://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle-hel...ty-progrip.htm). I can say that I've never had any fogging--even on a day when I rode 200+ miles in steady rain.

    TBS screw travel

Hi all. Did my 4th TBS today and ran into a small snag. The adjustment screw for cylinder [EDIT:] #2 is currently all the way in/reached the end of its travel. The vacuum pressure was something like 245 mm Hg, so I left it at that and synced the rest of the cylinders to #3 (using a new Morgan...

    Pilot Road 2 - who's got 'em?

Here are some pics I took this afternoon of my PR2s. Got them on 11/16/07 and they now have 3,000 miles on them (see previous post for description of riding style etc.). Based on how they are currently wearing, I'm expecting to see 9k, maybe 10k worth of riding out of them.

Don't run from the French police......

Note to self: revamp escape plans for French bank heist.

    Wet Crotch Photos!

Riding in conditions like that would scare the piss outta me, too.

    Schampa helmet liner

I use the Moose SweatVac Riding Beanie in the summer and like it. It's made of Dry Smart and the top is mesh. It helps keep the helmet dry in hot weather.

    Cager parking behavior

Actually, yeah, I forgot to mention that there isn't any designated motorcycle parking spaces in the lot I use. That might be an excellent suggestion for the powers that be.

    Cager parking behavior

Why do cagers see a motorcycle in a parking lot & think "Oh boy: I can park six inches away from it and completely invade that vehicle's space when I would think twice about doing that to a car/truck"? OK, I made that last part up. But still, every single freakin' day I have a car/truck/van...

Sighting; most dangerous Cager distraction yet...

Yesterday on the way home from work, 3-lanes moving at and above 70 mph, moderate traffic I spotted a car coming up from behind in the left lane doing at least 15, maybe 20 mph faster than everyone else. I'm in the center lane, slow semi on the right, somewhat faster semi in front of me, and a...

    Pilot Road 2 - who's got 'em?

I'm commuting about 1,600 miles a month to a new job & pushing about 3k on the new PR2's. 80% superslab, almost no curves; I'm relatively easy on the throttle (trying to milk mpg); keep the bags attached; run 42 in the rear and 39.5 (ish) in the front. The tires look almost new & I love them...

Left leg of FirstGear HT Air 2.0 Overpants

Thanks all for the replies. I think going with the tall size for the overpants is the best option (when it comes time to buy the next pair). In the interim, I will try the garter to keep the leg from creeping over the boot.

Left leg of FirstGear HT Air 2.0 Overpants

I'm hoping I'm not the only one who experiences this. When I wear the FirstGear overpants with my Teknic boots on the FJR, the left leg inevitably creeps up over the top of the boot (which has a relatively short shank). Just the left leg, not the right. I've tried to figure out why this is...

Riding away with a cold engine

I just knew that Bike Week was a conspiracy on the part manufacturers: they probably have the city reset the timing of the traffic lights to maximize idling and minimize engine life. The *******s!!!!!!

    Throttlemeister & temps

Thanks for the replies. I also have been thinking that in addition to shrinking the rubber might be so hard that it can't produce enough friction to hold. BTW: 24 degrees when I took off this morning. Right glove somehow lost integrity and was allowing wind in & I lost feeling in my right...
