    August total solar elcipse

Indeed! And a good discussion going on there. Couldn't be bothered doing a search beforehand to check for redundancy.

    Eclipse 2017

Cross your fingers no one else in the area is making the same plan. Last place I'd want to be during an eclipse is VFR in uncontrolled airspace in a high-wing aircraft.

    Why does a bike turn

I can recall reading this too. The observation was a locked steering head still allowed for turning but was exceedingly difficult. Perhaps it was from "Proficient Riding".

    Why does a bike turn

This thread was worth starting just to read the one on the HD forum.

    Why does a bike turn

That's what piqued my interest on this subject as well; I just wanted to better understand why.Way back when and I was new to this forum, I participated in a thread similar to this one and subsequently got raked over the coals for what I said and how I stated it. I was however wrong - or at...

My new toy. Quicker than the FJR?

Certainly. My first requirement for an off-road bike was that it had to be street legal. Here in BC, you can no longer retrofit a bike that isn't street legal from the factory. Right away, that narrowed the choices down. When I did my online research, three bikes kept coming up again and again...

My new toy. Quicker than the FJR?

I guess there is a hidden meaning? Edit: Nevermind. Video explains it.

My new toy. Quicker than the FJR?

Yup. I can't say enough about it. Installed some risers, bark busters and electronic tach yesterday and tomorrow I do my 600 mi service. I seem to look forward each day to coming home and going for a ride. I've dumped the bike at least a half dozen times already and, it already has - as do my...

My new toy. Quicker than the FJR?

All I can say is I cannot believe how much I am enjoying it. Wish I bought it sooner.

The Confusion that is Fork Oil

Not trying to stir up ****, just find this all confusing and ambiguous, especially when intermixed with a busy day. It just became personal and condescending and I didn't care for that. The frustration you felt could have been communicated using a different choice of words or via PM I think...

The Confusion that is Fork Oil

Well let me paint the picture for you, Fred It started when I combed through several threads on several forums to learn about fork oil. When I came across this one, there was clearly justification to not grab just any oil off the shelf. I received a recommendation from one mechanic to go to a...

The Confusion that is Fork Oil

Nice. Because I didn't realize it wasn't so cut n dry until I read this thread. And clearly I am not alone.

I'm having the same thing done. Where are you picking up your oil and what do you use? I have to grab some myself and cannot bring it across the border if I buy it up here.

The Confusion that is Fork Oil

Well that does help me to better understand the do's and don't and especially the why's. But as mentioned earlier, I had a fork upgrade and GP Suspension uses a different cSt rating oil for their adjustments. Perhaps I will give them a call. Thanks
