    Throttle Lock

An Update. I emailed Tak-Lok to ask about disassembling the unit to paint it. They highly suggested against it, but mentioned that they have just started making a black matte version. They had me send in my chrome lock and exchanged it with a black matte lock. Think I'm going to like this...

    600 Mile Dealer Service

Same here, I wanted the initial service on record. Past that, I do my own minor servicing (oil changes, air filter, TBS, etc).

BTW, I have a friend on a GoldWing that is interested in joining me on this trip. Does anyone have any objections to me inviting an "non-feejer-forum" person along?

Gathering of the Clans! August 2-3-4-5

You're more than welcome to join me for the ride up and back. I haven't made any concrete plans yet, or even decided on a route. Probably will leave on Weds morning (Aug 1). Also, at this point it's just me since Janet has decided to skip this trip. I'll PM my phone # to you in case you want...

    Throttle Lock

Yes, it does look kinda big hanging out there. And the whole chrome thing does kinda put me off. But if you're looking at a BreakAway, this is another option in the same price range with the same functionality. And it's stupid easy to install. I'm thinking maybe a rattle-can of black spray...

    Throttle Lock

Edit: See update with photos in post #9 - Now in matte black! I recently found a throttle lock that I have never heard of before and thought some folks here might be interested as well. Tak-Lok. It works very similar to the BreakAway throttle lock – mechanically locks the throttle in place...

Less expensive headsets for Starcom1 users

Thanks, that's great info! How do they sound compared to the starcom headsets? FYI, the starcom headsets use the same connector as an old PS/2 mouse cable, although I've never tried using one.

    FJR1300 History:all models,all colours 2001-2011

Damn, the Europeans get all the good colors plus decals, and they get their choice of colors any given year! We just get one solid color per year, sans decals. Guess we're the red headed step children... Ocean Depth (Europe) = Cobalt (US) Red Sky (Europe) = Black Cherry (US)

I'm sure what draws those types to both locations are the photographers at both locations.
