    Not So Super Tenere

+1 - thought of wrestling a 600+ pound pig around off-road does not appeal to me in the least. I rarely have me mate Charley around to help me pick up a big heavy bike.

    Oldest Rider You Know

there is an old boy from California who belongs to the Motorcycle Sport Touring Riders Assoc. (MSTA) and he is legend within that group. He rides an SV-650 to the MSTA rallies around the USA and is about five feet tall and about the size of Granny in the Beverly Hillbillies. I met him at the...

    Engine keeps dying

yes - it cleans injectors. I use it on the cars and dropped some in the tank of the FJR last month.

    The Thought Crossed My Mind...

Fook the other night I about hit a forest rat. And I was only 200 yards from my driveway.

Snow & Ice chains from MV Motorrad!

oh yeah, riding a big heavy pig of a bike like the FJR on ice? I can't think of anything else I would rather do except poke myself in the eye with a sharp stick - repeatedly.

    The Thought Crossed My Mind...

Wuss, you gonna let a little thing like a life threatening close call (or two) cause you to stop riding your FJR? Hand us your keys and your man card and start watching Oprah...

The Old (2013-2014) Big FJR Tire Poll

I ride the Bridgestone BT-023GT because they give me great confidence in both wet and dry and get pretty good mileage out of them. And their cost is right in my price range. But I ran the Avon Storms for years and liked them - anyone got any feedback on the Storm Ultra? Anyone? Buehler?

Push Mountain Road -- Hwy 341 Arkansas -- stickers

Funny, I've gone the opposite. I used to live for group rides and going out with my buddies. The last few group rides, and even a ride with one other person, I've been nowhere near as happy as I am out on my own. Something about being free to just go, and do it your own way, stop when you want...

    Airbox ?

Really there is no need to do this on the Gen I's since they run soooooo much better and have sooooo much more power than than the later Gen X models... YMMV.

    Airbox ?

you are telling this forum, which is chock full o' tinkerers who will tear their FJR down to tiny pieces scattered all over the garage floor, just to see what it looks like - not to tinker? Bring on the popcorn!!

Rotella T6 causing clutch drag and hard shifting?

and so this is why we add four oz. of STP Oil Treatment right? To add back in zinc.

    Airbox ?

took mine off years ago. Not sure I could really tell any difference with the Uni-Flo filter but hey, I felt better cause I modded my bike!

Wanting to service swingarm, if required!

I don't believe I have ever seen a post of an issue where the rear splines have worn for any reason?
