I've had one on my last two bikes. Anyone who owns or has used one will agree that they look phenomenal, work great and yes, they are pricey. Besides Florida, they also work great in the flat-as-hell Midwest.

I own two: an Olympia Airglide II and a Tourmaster Intake. I wear the Airglide the majority of the time, however, in temps above around 90 degrees, the Intake is a bit cooler. I'd recommend either for warm/hot weather, but would recommend the Airglide for cooler temps too. I've ridden...

Had a pair (from Cal Sport Touring) and liked them much better than stock grips. I then switched to BMW sport grips (search...there's lots of info on them here) and I like those even better.
